100s of discarded glass bottles meet a hand-laid brick jaali above indoor pool.
One brings daylight. The other brings ventilation and privecy. No harsh skylight. No AC needed.

​A sneak peek at the shuttering process for a massive, curved rammed earth wall at our project site in Chitradurga.

You should definitely avoid Rammed Earth if:
​1️⃣ You LOVE high AC bills: Rammed earth has massive thermal mass. It blocks the brutal west afternoon heat from cooking your interiors.
2️⃣ You enjoy repainting: Intense west sunlight cracks and fades paint. Rammed earth needs zero paint and looks better as it ages.
3️⃣ You want a generic house: The natural, layered textures look stunning when the evening sun hits them.
4️⃣ You hate indoor comfort: It naturally regulates humidity and keeps the interior microclimate balanced.
5️⃣ Eco-friendly isn’t your vibe: It uses local soil, radically cutting down the building's carbon footprint.

Sunlight through 200+ glass bottles. 🍾
This is the ceiling above our swimming pool — built entirely using repurposed coloured glass bottles embedded into the roof.
When the sun hits, the light filters through in orange, green and blue — turning the pool area into something that feels more like art than architecture.
This is what climate-responsive, creative design looks like at Greenspace Studio.
