Kerala tropical living, reimagined.

Not just a staircase, it’s the heart of the home. Warm wooden steps on a sleek metal frame wrap around a green courtyard, keeping things light, airy, and full of character.

Natural light is the quiet hero of this home, it slips in softly through deep eaves and courtyard openings, brightening every corner without the heat or harsh glare.
House Beneath a Jackfruit Tree
This modern tropical Kerala home is built around a double-height living space where the staircase and green courtyard meet. Light moves freely here, turning the heart of the house warm and airy.
The staircase is simple and honest: wooden planks set on a slim metal frame. It climbs gently through the open volume, never blocking the flow of light or views. Beside it, the courtyard pulls in plants, sky, and breeze, so nature becomes part of daily life indoors.
Overhead, a sloping ceiling lined with Mangalore clay tiles gives the room its soul. The tiles bring texture, warmth, and that familiar Kerala character you can’t fake. Sunlight filters through wide openings and washes over wood, black granite, clay, and green leaves. The mix feels grounded and calm, yet wide open,
a home that breathes.
