Designing a large space is often less about what you add, and more about creating rhythm.

At Palm Banquet, repetition in the wall panels, linear flooring and layered ceiling creates that rhythm, while brass and warm light break the neutrality just enough.

Planning a pergola for your terrace? Don’t start fabrication before checking these details.

A pergola looks simple once it’s finished, but getting the proportions, structure and roofing right makes all the difference.

A few things worth checking before you build yours:

• Decide the roof slope before finalising the structure
• Keep the proportions comfortable for the space
• Use the right MS pipe sections for the columns and roof members
• Apply red oxide primer before the final paint to protect the metal
• Choose your pergola roofing based on the requirement decking sheet, polycarbonate sheet or toughened glass

These small technical decisions are what take a pergola from “looks good” to “actually works well.”

Save this before you start your terrace pergola.

And if you’re planning one, comment “PERGOLA” below I’ll share more details.

For this bedroom, we wanted every element to feel connected.
The curved upholstered headboard wraps around the bedside tables, creating one continuous feature instead of separate pieces. The botanical wallpaper adds character without overpowering the space, while the soft blush palette, warm wood, and rounded furniture keep the room feeling calm and cohesive.
Luxury, for us, isn’t about adding more. It’s about making every detail feel intentional.

Which detail would you notice first?

Designing this home in Patna was about creating spaces that felt rooted, functional and timeless, while still reflecting the personality of the family living in it. Here’s what we did:

• The living room follows a warm contemporary language with layered textures, cane detailing, dark wood accents and a neutral palette that keeps the space feeling elegant without being overwhelming.

• One of our favourite elements is the carved wooden feature panel inspired by Bihar’s rich artistic heritage. It brings a subtle regional connection to the home while blending seamlessly with the overall design.

• Since the family wanted a dedicated prayer space, we designed a partitioned mandir within the living area. This allows the space to feel connected to the home while still maintaining a sense of privacy and reverence.

• Large-format flooring, concealed lighting and carefully selected statement fixtures help make the space feel brighter, larger and more cohesive.

• In the master bedroom, the floral mural became the starting point of the design. Once that was finalised, we kept the remaining materials, furniture and lighting softer and more restrained so the room felt balanced rather than visually busy.

• The bed placement was guided by the client’s preferred Vastu direction, which meant it sits directly opposite the entrance door. To improve privacy, we introduced a subtle partition that prevents the person resting on the bed from being immediately visible upon entering. This detail also helps soften the room’s visual axis and creates a stronger sense of enclosure around the sleeping zone.

• The attached washroom continues the same design language through patterned flooring, fluted cabinetry, brushed gold accents and soft ambient lighting, creating a space that feels luxurious yet practical for everyday use.

What are your thoughts on this home? We’d love to know which corner is your favourite.

We used frosted glass shutters in a ch*****ne profile because we didn’t want the unit to feel heavy in the room. We ran LED lighting through the full height hanging section because a dark wardrobe means you’re always missing something. We did a pull-out trouser rack because folded trousers on a shelf get buried. And we sized each drawer differently because not everything you own needs the same amount of space.
Every detail here has a reason.

Drop your thoughts below, would you keep it or change something?

Okay this one is important.
Your MCB and earthing are not the same thing. MCB protects against overload. Earthing protects against electric shock. You need both.
Ask your electrician for it by name.
Save this and send it to someone who is renovating right now.
