Meet Palo, an exclusive from the Resonance Collection, showing at India Design, Mumbai.

Palo is a study in imperfect repetition. Its dark walnut wooden base is carved in rhythmic cuts, each one subtly different, so the movement of the hand stays visible in the wood. Above it, a banana paper shade diffuses the light softly and throws delicate shadows that echo the carved ripples below.

The result is layered texture and quiet motion: a sculptural presence defined by craft and restraint.

From the first walkthroughs of the morning to the conversations that ran well past closing, it has been a day of people stopping, looking closer and asking how each piece is made. Visitors reached for the finishes, traced the open curves of the cast bases and spent time with the glow of the shades. Many wanted to know where the pieces begin, and we were glad to tell them: in sand, in fire and in the hands of the artisans who shape every one.

That is what makes a showcase worth doing. It lets the work be seen, touched and talked about by the people who will live with it.

Three days, one incredible showcase. Design Democracy 2026 is officially a wrap, and LumeHaus' Resonance Collection took centre stage.

From first walkthroughs to the conversations that kept us on our toes, this recap is a look back at how the collection came alive on the floor: the finishes people couldn't stop touching, the light and shadow play that stopped visitors mid-step, and the reactions that told us exactly why we design the way we do.

Thank you to everyone who visited, asked questions, and spent time with Resonance up close. This is only the beginning for this collection.

Day 1 at Design Democracy 2026 is a wrap, and what a start it's been. Our booth saw a steady stream of visitors stopping by to see LumeHaus lamps up close: touching finishes, watching how each piece changes the mood of a space, and asking us questions about the craft behind the design. Some of the best moments came from watching people pause mid-walk, drawn in by a lamp, then stay back for a proper conversation about how it's made.

That's what we love about exhibitions like this: the chance to meet the people who'll actually live with these pieces, hear what catches their eye, and have real conversations instead of just showcasing from a distance.
