Brooks Cocoon reimagines the idea of a cocoon as a living habitat, shaped as a cluster of pods. Each pod holds a different utility, creating a network of spaces that function together yet feel individually intimate. Much like in nature, where cocoons protect and nurture transformation, these pods offer comfort, privacy, and purpose. Living, resting, and gathering are all distributed into their own volumes, allowing movement between spaces to feel natural and fluid. The design becomes more than just form, it becomes a way of living, where each pod supports a specific need while staying connected to a larger, protective whole.

Proud and grateful to see this residence by Design Consortium at Cherai Beach continue to live its own story. Over the years, the home has quietly become a landmark in Kerala, often chosen as a backdrop for films and creative shoots. Architecture, for him, is not just design, it is responsibility, patience, and being present at every stage. An architect becomes everything on site, and there is no greater pride than watching a project rise through your own blood and sweat.

Five years later, Nilanjan Bhowal returned to his project on Cherai Beach, a home conceived and built during the uncertainty of COVID. What was once a construction site marked by masks and quiet resilience now stands complete, shaped by sea breeze and time. Watching the sunset again, he felt deep gratitude. For him, architecture holds memory, and this home remains a testament to perseverance and hope.

The MIS School is envisioned as a living, breathing campus shaped by green principles. Existing trees are woven into the design, forming shaded courts and natural learning pockets. The architecture responds thoughtfully to climate and landscape, promoting responsible practices at every level. Seen here are AAC blocks that enhance thermal comfort and efficiency, along with classrooms opening into open courtyards. Students experience education differently here, engaging daily with light, air, and greenery, making nature an active participant in their growth and learning journey.

Reflected quietly in the mirror is *Nilanjan Bhowal* , not posing, not performing, just observing. This is how design begins for him, in stillness. Watching how light settles, how proportions converse, how a space reveals its mood over time.
