✨ The Handloom & Sericulture Exhibition at the Baokhungri Festival beautifully celebrated the rich cultural identity of Bodoland while promoting sustainable livelihoods through the empowerment of local weavers and artisans. 🧵🌿

A special highlight of the exhibition was the display of Bodoland GI-tagged Eri Silk fabrics developed at the Handloom Production Centre (HPC), Bhatipara, Kokrajhar, a pioneering initiative of the BTC Government and one of the first of its kind in Assam.
The creations showcased the preservation and promotion of traditional Bodo weaving, reflecting the complete journey from yarn preparation to weaving and finishing. Rooted in tradition yet adapted for contemporary use the collection beautifully revived authentic Bodo motifs and proved suitable for both fashion and home decor.
