THROWBACK --- Hi everyone, here I am sharing my experience from my first session, exactly 01 year ago on 2nd February 2025.

It was a quiet for location from my home but experience was mind-blowing. In the late winter morning people gathered to celebrate Kabir's Doha. This was also a program to save the river and the jungle. I did to quick sketches and roamed around the area. Indeed the beautiful winter morning back in the February of 2025. The location was the confluence of Ram and Mula rivers, near Aundh area.

Since then it was quite a regular session with us . I'll share more stories from the other sessions attended throughout the last year.

I hope you are enjoying this stories which involves some curiosity passion and more of personal experience.

Here I did my 2nd sketch, a figure study live session amongst many amazing portrait artists.
Really amazing experience, after a decade. Time was short but the methodical approach helped me to complete the sketch.

1st urban sketching of the new year 2026

Refreshing Sunday morning with light cold outside, enjoying the greenery of FC Road area...

Fergusson College campus itself is a cradle of nature, so much green, plants everywhere.

The iconic building style always keep you mesmerized, coming back again and again...

On the other hand today's composition subject was famous Vaishali Restaurant, people make the queue from early morning to have a seat! You just wait for your turn...

Back to FC campus, morning is more better with canteen chai and bada-pav. Breakfast was sponsored by UskPune team, surprise on new year!

My journey continued through all weather though rainy season was specially challenging. But there was a charismatic attraction which I felt every Sunday. There was a zeal to go to the location to draw and explore new subjects. This also pushed me to attend one fine Sunday session with .. what a day!..
I really hope to continue this journey in 2026.

My 2025 continued with outdoor studies within Pune, a magnificent welcoming and culturally rich heritage city.
Along with I got chances to see corners of old town, beautiful allies and architectural marvels from history.
I hardly use Google map now a days to roam around this city, within a year it became a familiar locality.
I made new friends here and their warm welcoming gesture have always been a strong support to me.
Many more places and corners to explore...

2025 was more of determination, to go out of comfort zone.
A void was created in 2024 through a personal loss.
My guru is no more to guide me...
A shift happened from NCR to Pune.
A target was fulfilled by joining .
A practice of regular sketching is in making.
Many new paintings were created this year.
Many outdoor studies were done.
I took a pause to reflect upon myself.
And the results were satisfying.
The void can't be filled but it has to be healed through art...

It feels good to see that this year 2023 was not empty. Art was there with me time to time. Yes the number is very small but to be in touch with art is the most important part of this journey. Spot painting to portrait, landscape to architecture, journey is ongoing.

Looking for a more active year in 2024.
