Behind every considered interior is a collection of thoughtful choices. From furnishings and rugs to lighting, art and distinctive objects, the brands we choose influence how a space comes together.

Here are some of the brands we admire for their approach to design, craftsmanship and detail.

From playful forms and statement furniture to bold patterns and unexpected colour combinations, it’s all about creating spaces that feel distinctive, balanced, and full of character.

Because great design is in the details.

Good design is not just about what you place in a space, but how it relates to everything around it.

From artwork and furniture to rugs and wall decor, proportion plays a quiet yet significant role in creating a space that feels balanced, intentional and complete.

Because sometimes, it’s not about changing the piece. It’s about getting the scale right.

We often look at walls, floors and furniture first. But the ceiling quietly shapes the entire room.

A change in level, a considered light, a material or even a clean uninterrupted surface can alter how a space feels.
Because sometimes, the fifth wall deserves just as much thought.

A home is never created by one person.
From the first idea to the final detail, it moves through designers, craftsmen, makers and the people on site who bring it all together.
Every hand adds something. Every detail has a purpose.

After 30 years in design, there are two things I always come back to - functionality and making a home feel like the people who live in it.
I want to understand the little things: where you keep your shoes, how you use your kitchen, where you gather, and what you need every day.
Because a home should reflect the way you live, not simply the designer’s idea of what a home should be.
That, to me, is where good design begins.

There’s something about blue that can completely change the mood of a space.
Used thoughtfully, it can bring depth, softness and a quiet sense of character - without overwhelming everything around it.
Sometimes, one colour is all a room needs.

Some materials quietly disappeared from contemporary homes, even though they were always part of how we built and lived.

Indian flooring traditions offer more than nostalgia - they bring materiality, character and a sense of place.

And sometimes, looking back helps us discover what still works beautifully today.

When I started working in design, the industry was very different.
There were fewer materials, fewer technologies and fewer possibilities. Today, almost anything can be imagined, sourced and created.
But over the years, I’ve learnt that having more choices doesn’t necessarily make design easier.

Experience teaches you what to choose and what to leave out.
