There’s a moment on every site visit.

The structure is raw. The wires are loose. The floor is still concrete grey.

And yet — you can already feel the space that’s coming.

Beesani Residence is deep in that phase right now. And it’s already extraordinary.

Rose marble that catches light like a painting. A washroom carved entirely in black stone. Warm wood joinery lining every wall. LED coves that bathe the ceiling in gold. A window that brings the canopy of trees inside.

We’ve been overlaying our design sketches onto the site photographs — because sometimes, the vision is clearest when you can see both worlds at once. The construction and the dream. What is, and what will be.

Swipe through to see where we are — and imagine where we’re going. ✦

A space designed to begin and end your day in ceremony.

The master dressing room at Gupta Residence was conceived as a complete world — not just storage, but ritual. Toile de Jouy panels behind arched reeded-glass wardrobes. A walnut island chest in the centre of the room, marble-topped, brass-handled. An oval dressing mirror framed in gold, set against a navy curtain that opens to the garden.

Every detail considered. The basin in deep burgundy marble. The hex brass handles. The sheer and velvet layered at the window.

And then — the washroom. Rosso marble climbing floor to ceiling, broken only by twin arched niches: one for the WC, one for the shower. A diamond grid cut into the stone, repeated overhead and underfoot. From above, it reads like a jewel box. From inside the shower — Carrara white walls, a rain head in brushed gold, a marble bench inset with a rosso niche — it reads like a sanctuary.

This is what it means to design a room someone will never want to leave.

There is a particular difficulty in designing a bedroom for people who have lived well for decades.

Everything they choose already means something. The art on the wall is not decorative — it was brought back from a trip. The rug is not a style choice — it survived three moves.

So this room had to earn its place alongside all of that.

This is the MASTER BEDROOM SUITE · GUPTA RESIDENCE · INDORE.

The bed is a four-poster in ebonised wood — a form that has existed in this country for centuries because it still works. Behind it, blue toile woodland panels fill arched niches on either side of the wall. Not framed prints. The pattern is the wall.

The suite opens into a sitting room — an ivory Baroque sofa, navy drapes pooling at an arched threshold, a gilded candelabra standing in the corner. A room with no function except to sit.

A swan lake oil painting hangs on the bedroom wall. Chosen, not curated. That is the difference.

The corridor between the two spaces holds a gilded Baroque mirror — the scale of something you would find in a palace. In a private home it becomes something else entirely.

Blue runs through everything. Toile. Velvet. The rug beneath your feet. It does not match — it belongs.

Every decision was made for two people who have earned the right to a room that does not try too hard.

Which room in your home carries the most memory?
