HEAR HEAR HEAR : DWV turns 10 ! A journey that we began 10 years ago, introducing Pathare Prabhu cuisine from our home in Jogeshwari East. A phone chat in our family group, a super cool mum-in-law who said yes, when her enthusiastic bahu asked that our food is so good and unique, shouldn’t we share with others ? We did a trial with a group of friends and then launched our first public event on the 18th September 2016. What a day ! Two batches, 20 guests. I still remember one of the groups being a full batch of doctors and how much they enjoyed our cooking ! Since then, every school holiday meant, a trip to Mumbai and we hosting a pop-up event. The love and support we got from everyone, we are so grateful. Through our pop-ups we got to meet you and make so many friends, so many who join us every time we host an event. This kind of love, trust and support, is the reason why we continue hosting these dining experiences. So, thank you to each and everyone who have dined with us. Our first guests to our recent ones - thank you for the opportunity to cook for you and sharing our cuisine with you. Yes, the celebration is to begin ! More communication on this soon.

From our pop-up in July before we left for a one month trip to the east coast in the US. Summer and monsoon menu items this time. Some new guests and some old guests. Great company and conversations. Thank you for coming and making our afternoon so special. We loved cooking for you! Looking forward to seeing you again soon !

Cooking is on in full swing for today’s popup. There is Paplet (pomfret), Kolambi (prawns), Bombil (Bimba duck), soft lamb, veggies (a few from our garden), mangoes, and home made chutneys. Also, if you are coming, you get to see our jackfruit tree. It has soooo many jackfruits.
For tomorrow, we have a few seats available.

We hosted the first of our three pop-ups planned for this month. We literally had entire Mumbai representing at the table. Wadala, Andheri, Dadar, Kandivali, Borivali, traveling all the way to experience our thali. Some were repeat guests who loved their previous experience and wanted their parents to try Pathare Prabhu cuisine.
Can’t wait to host the pop-up next weekend.

Experience an authentic Pathare Prabhu thali at our home in Jogeshwari East. It’s summer, so we have a summer menu. We are making Solache with Paplet. Roasted jackfruit fritters, prawn pickle with raw mangoes, Tomato chi sheer, Sagoo kheer with mangoes. It’s going to be fun. We are super excited to cook the menu. So, what are you waiting for? Come over!
