The first drawing is rarely the final story.

We started this project with one idea. Then reality happened — site conditions, practical constraints, things we couldn’t have anticipated, and decisions that had to change along the way.

But here’s what years of designing have taught us: a hindrance isn’t always a problem. Sometimes, it’s an invitation to think better.

A constraint pushes you to question the obvious. A problem makes you look for another way. And somewhere in that process, the design evolves into something better than what you had originally imagined.

Because for us, design isn’t just about making things look beautiful.

It’s about thinking, adapting, solving — and making the best possible version of what the space can become.

This floating storage unit is one of those details that people notice instantly. There’s no visible support from the sides, below or behind, yet it’s designed to carry weight while maintaining a clean, minimal look.

This is what I love about interior design. The beauty isn’t just in choosing finishes or furniture. It’s in solving engineering challenges, hiding the complexity, and making everything look effortless.

Ever noticed how some spaces instantly make you want to stay a little longer?

It usually isn’t because of one expensive sofa or one statement light.

It’s the conversation between materials. The softness of fabric against the richness of marble. Warm wood balancing cool stone. Curves softening clean lines. Every layer quietly doing its job.

This living room was designed exactly like that—not to impress for five seconds on Instagram, but to feel warm, timeless and lived in every single day.

That’s what good interior design is really about. Creating a home that still feels right years later.

Some days, no matter how much I explain, the details just don’t click..but you know what? I choose this chaos every single time. Building a team, guiding them through the bumps, and seeing them grow ,that’s what keeps me coming back. 10/10 would choose this chaos again!!

There was a time when my work spoke only through the homes we designed.

Today, it also gets the opportunity to be part of conversations beyond those homes.

I’m grateful to be featured by Women’s Story and to share a little about my journey with Olive—20+ years of designing homes, leading an all-women design team, solving challenges on site, and constantly learning that great design is as much about people as it is about spaces.

Every project reminds me that we don’t just design beautiful interiors. We create homes that are functional, timeless, and deeply personal to the families who live in them.
