As an architect, we build spaces, the spaces we call our homes, and it is these homes that we clean, decorate and lighten up for bringing in the festivities.

While everyone talks about the incredibly tough journey this profession is, may this festival of lights teach us to keep seeking the light at the end of the tunnel.

May this Diwali give us the patience & perseverance for continuing to do this, to keep walking with grace & humility on this beautiful path we chose for our lives.

A Railway Station is not just a building, it is a dynamic space which changes at different times of the day. During peak hours, it is bustling with people carrying their luggage, holding the hands of their kids, senior citizens struggling to find their way, vendors jostling with the passenger crowd to sell their food, departing passengers in a rush to board the train, arriving passengers trying to find the shortest route out.
Then there are certain hours when the same space becomes quieter, vendors taking a break, coolies sleeping on some bench, a stray dog moving on the platform..
When ARINEM started designing for Railway stations, it is this dynamic nature of space that we worked on, the human aspect of the station has been our primary focus.
As construction on Prayagraj Station goes ahead, we look forward to it becoming a place that first and foremost gives comfort, provides accessibility to every human that passes through its spaces, however briefly, and then align with the architecture of the city focusing on creating a visual landmark in the city.

NBT संवाद “भूजल रक्षा, भविष्य की सुरक्षा” was a very interactive session with experts on the dais as the session was very well curated by नवभारत times and Mr Sudhir Misra at The Taj hotel, Lucknow recently. Speaking on “water recharging and saving ground water” can not be easy if you are not yourself implementing the same. I was well confident and happy to share my experiences and thoughts.
