We were thinking of baking bread 🍞🍞 for many days. Today we baked bread loaves and Pavs.
Everybody who tasted gave 👌👌. Cutting uniform size slices from loaf by hand is quite challenging and interesting.

Pavs, we shall use for Vada Pavs tomorrow.

Muffins are in the pipeline as shall share pics when done.

This is how, we enjoyed spending this weekend evening.

Biryani and Pulao have a long history of evolving from every thing in a dish to fine art of cooking a dish -which is in itself a complete food. A good well prepared biryani may not need any add-on like gravy,

The finest of the biryani I have enjoyed is mutton biryani. Though it requires a lot of effort to finish, the outcome is heavenly. And after a very long time, it was on my agenda today.

Finished this Kulcha Roti with butter and cardamom powder. Fantastic combination of kulcha roti with Mughlai style Chicken Rizala. Shall repeat this combination during this weekend also.

Spicy Saturday. Homemade BhallaPapri Chaat. Spiced up with green and tamarind chutney, fried potatoes, peanuts and onions mirchi. Topped up with mildly sweet dahi and zeera lal mirch. Enjoy the pics.

While searching for egg recipes, I came across a recipe known as 'KHAGINA'. Though it is almost extinct in our part of the region, I understand that it is served at some old joints in Hyderabad. It is almost Anda Bhurji with spices and vegetables. Eggs are cooked over vegetables and not mixed into vegetables. Some inspiration has been taken from the book Nuskha e Shahjahani - a book on recipes of the kitchen of Mughals. This is my first try of this dish and let's see how it comes out. This is quite spicy in Hyderabadi style. Shall try the milder versions of Pakistan and Middle East also. Enjoy the pics. Our friends living in Hyderabad can look out for this dish and let us know if it is served there or not.
