The last lot of saree quilts which are essentially memory quilts were handed over to my friend a couple of days ago. I thank God for the trust bestowed on us to create a treasure for a lifetime. The choice to give this as wedding gifts to the children and grandchildren in the family was a wonderful thought.
Through these quilts , your mother's love and grace will always bring you warmth and comfort.

Sustainability is dear to our heart. Hence no fabric cuts from our earlier projects are ever wasted. Creating a quilted flap for our bags helped me do exactly that. I am loving creating these crossbody sling bags...and what's better, it helps me use crazy quilting styles on our recent products.

I would love to hear, where would you carry this sling bag ? And what would you typically carry in it?

Waiting to hear from you ...

A simple quilted tote bag with loads of pockets inside and a zipper was what we learnt from last Sunday... A day filled with excitement as we learnt to create perfect finishes. It was the first time I learnt to make the bag straps by her technique... I really can't wait to get back to Mumbai to make more bags ...
Did you like this tote bag?

When you look into the mirror, you see your reflection.
But when you look inward—who do you see?

Who you believe yourself to be
is who you are slowly becoming.
Rani of Jhansi must have seen a lion within—
strong, brave, fierce, unwavering.

In the toughest storms, she stood her ground.
Broken at times… yet always strong.
Life will test us.

The question is—what do you see within yourself?
Pause. Reflect. Tell me in the comments.

Diary writing was something I always encouraged my students to practise —
first to build fluency, freely and fearlessly, with no judgement…
and later, as a quiet yet powerful tool for self-reflection.
As I stitched this piece, these words surfaced —
not just as poetry, but as a voice from history.

“Tonight I see myself not as weary, but strong.
Each scar tells a story of courage.
They tried to silence my spirit,
yet I rise — fierce, unbroken, and free.”

These are my reflections on what might have passed through the mind of Rani Laxmibai —
a woman who embodied resilience, resistance, and unwavering courage.

Threads can write stories too.
Fabric can hold memory, strength, and voice.

What words would you write in your diary tonight — about your strength, your scars, your becoming?

I didn’t win a prize.
Yet today, I feel like a winner.

I showed up, created, and found the courage to share my work.

Cheering for the winners and inspired by their brilliance.
The real win was growth.

The bloom will come in its own time—today, I celebrate the roots I have grown.

Reflect – Remembering the Lion Within

This quilt is a reflection on resilience, belief, and inner strength. Inspired by Rani of Jhansi, my enduring role model, the piece explores how courage rises even when one feels broken yet strong. The mirror reveals the lion within—a symbol of spirit, resolve, and quiet power. Time, memory, and personal journaling intertwine, reminding me that it is not circumstances but inner vision that shapes victory. Creating this quilt became a reflective journey into my own quilting practice, where stitches, words, and symbols helped me reconnect with courage, voice, and self-belief.
