A tray can hold the materials.
But it canā€™t hold the whole experience.

At The Messy Art House, sensory play spills beyond one little setup.

Itā€™s the room around them.
The scale of the activities.
The movement.
The art.

And then, of course, our tiniest artists.

The babies who squish first and think later. The kids who turn one activity into something completely their own. The little conversations, the big imaginations, the ā€œlook what I made!ā€ moments.

So yes, The Messy Art House has a founder, a team, a studio and a lot of paintā€¦

but really, this place is all of them together.

This one was not just about the house. šŸ’›

For our Our Home Project with All Heart | Nurturing Emotional Intelligence Experiences, every parent-child pair started with the same little wooden home.

But what went inside was completely theirs.

One room became about the things they love doing together.
One was created by the child for their grown-up.
Another by the grown-up for their child.
And then there was the crazy roomā€¦ where imagination was very much in charge. šŸ˜‚

There was painting and building, yes. But there were also little conversations, lots of ā€œwhat if we put this here?ā€, stories we hadnā€™t heard before and parents discovering some very specific interior-design opinions from their 6-year-olds.

And by the end, no two homes looked remotely alike.

A house they made together. And a little piece of their relationship tucked into every room.

Thatā€™s exactly what we hoped this morning would become. šŸ’›

A little glimpse into one of our recent Playdays šŸ’›

What started as a simple get-together turned into a room full of little stations to discover, explore, make, touch and play through, all thoughtfully planned around the age group and the kind of experience we wanted the children to have.

Thatā€™s the fun part about hosting a Playday with The Messy Art House: thereā€™s no one fixed format.

We can curate the space around your little group ā€” sensory setups, art invitations, messy play, movement, themed corners, collaborative activitiesā€¦ whatever makes sense for your children and your day.

You tell us the age group, the number of little guests and what you have in mind.

We did something new. Our first ever tween party. šŸ„¹

And we may have found a whole new kind of Messy.

Because tween birthdays are a funny age to plan for. Theyā€™re past the typical kiddie party, but they still want something fun to do together, not just sit around a table.

So this one was about giving them a space to make, experiment, hang out, laugh and leave with something theyā€™d actually created themselves.

A little more grown up.
Still very much Messy.

And yes, tween parties are officially a thing here now. šŸ‘€

Calling all grown-ups: this Thursday, weā€™re switching the lights down and the neons up. āš”ļøšŸŽØ

Our next Thursday Art Night is all about neon - bold colour, glowing layers and the kind of making that gets you out of your head and into your hands for a couple of hours.

Thereā€™s something strangely calming about sitting at a table, playing with colour, letting the work build slowly and not having anywhere else to be. Add good conversation, a room full of people making alongside you and a Thursday night that feels very different from the usualā€¦ and thatā€™s pretty much the plan.

Come solo. Bring a friend. Bring your person.
No art experience needed. Just come ready to make, unwind and glow a little. āœØ
