Picasso’s Friends (3–6 years) 🎨
There’s a lot of thought that goes into what eventually lands on our art tables.
For What’s On My Plate?, we wanted to take something children see every single day — a plate of food — and turn it into a space for imagination.
So the project was built in layers. They created their own tableware, explored different materials, constructed their “food”, played with shape, placement, colour and composition, and slowly watched an everyday scene become their own little work of art.
The interesting part for us is never just what they make. It’s watching how they get there — what they choose, what they change, which materials they’re drawn to, and the tiny creative decisions they make along the way.
Because when a project gives children enough room to think for themselves, you don’t just get different-looking plates.
You get a little glimpse into how differently every child sees the world. 🤍
