ℂ𝕆𝕃𝕆ℝ𝕊 𝕠𝕗 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖…our installation children’s Festival
Public art need not only be for the mature or adult mind. During the pandemic children are the ones who been most impacted psychologically. They have to follow the same restrictions as the rest of us, but they do not have the necessary mental tools nor strength to keep mentally healthy.
With schools shut for academics and more importantly community building ,parks and other public spaces become very important. It is quite possible that public art may be more appreciated and loved by children in their own way. All of us have seen how happy children are when they see even a new ride in an old park.
As designers we must also make the experience as safe as possible. This would mean to ensure social distancing as a core design element for installations that children can enjoy.
Public art for children would be a warm welcome to these young minds as they slowly step out their homes and back to the outdoors they have missed. All outdoor attractions where children can safely participate , while social distancing, will be popular in the coming months and years to come.
