The ISLAND Bedroom
and taddaa… this is the tabla todd option for the same bedroom we be talking about in my last post. very discreet… classy.. warm… cozy…
So, this time its just this room that we will be doing up in this house. although this is not the aesthetic my dear one chose for her humble bedroom. so imma sharing with you peeps. ⁠⁠⁠⁠

the Sada Bedroom proposal.
so usually whenever we design for a project. we make a sad option. an option you can’t go wrong with of course & one a lil adventurous. something which i personally would be fond of. so in this case, we are only to do up the bedroom for my dear one. this is my anticipation of aesthetics to her room. she likes something totally different though. hence putting these out.
So in this one, we are proposing to break the existing windows and bring the sill down - add the arches - the other wall with a window - making that into a wardrobe + Study area and a wallpaper TV on the opp side of the bed. i am in love with the smoked wood herringbone flooring from & the extinct animals wallpaper from … but well all this is just a concept. although i have one more option to show u guys… later…⁠⁠⁠⁠

the BLUE house - Living Room - Night View
well well we’ll so as much as i love the space during the day… i want to talk about a really cool feature about this night view.
did u guys notice that the cove light is not in the ceiling, but in the wall!! TADDAAA!!!! and how did that happen?
well the Wall + the doors that are flushed to the wall - all the verticals are at an angle… from 0 to 2.5” on the top so it can tuck in the ceiling curve and the LED strip light. Dont believe me? have a look at it again.
and if u see the lighting layout which i am very proud of and also learnt from my really talented designer and friend to break the monotony of how the lights should be placed. so there goes a track with these cool conical fittings and surface fittings on the other side. The center space between the wainscoting at the moment is left blank. To be filled by client in due course of time, an art or photographs or anything that they like. Technically a lot of spaces are left for future. So that the house evolves with the residents. Always a scope for personalisation. ⁠⁠⁠

the BLUE house - Master Bedroom - Cave - Nightview
Well, this toh I saav forgot only. Had put up a day view of the same a while ago & by the evening we decided the space changes with the lights so we must capture it to show you guys how non standard lighting detail can do wonders. It’s amazing how usually people would say, 4 poster in such a small space, hotu hase kain!!! But these clients trusted my instincts and lemme do what I envisioned. Reminds me of that song “har kisi ko... nahi milte, aise clients zindagi me....(m sure u be humming that music piece that follows)
Anywho
Like I mentioned earlier, I have always been in love with these come lights from Abby & makes sure that I plead and beg her to customise them for me. The bed and the side table also have a story. We spent crazy amount on the Wenge wood and wanted to see those grains and veins and all that with a super soft clear coat on top of it. But at the end puchka. We couldn’t really get the desired finish and I took a call to do a matt Blue PU... le sigh... it still looked gorgeous with all those flaws but anywho. So the side tables too were then made the same finish (soul cried) ⁠⁠

the BLUE house - Living Room
Okay! true i can get enough of this space to be honest. its such a warm, cozy, classy space. with perfect amount of day light throughout and just right colour & material board.
My dear friend and vendor Shashank from Abner, customised the light fitting shade to that of the ceiling colour. now that was amazing. i am not sure if you guys noticed that in other images uploaded. in love with this space man… can’t actually believe that its so gorgeous.
(wait am i talking high about myself again?) (its not my fault, i take after a dear friend of mine)⁠⁠⁠

the BLUE house - Livingroom⁠⠀
One evening while a site visit nearing the handover. i walked past this view & my heart skipped a beat. (All though there was a flush of sun light & we still had to set the curtains and the furniture - back then) the space looked so serene & i couldn't believe what we had created.i totally give the credit to my client who allowed us to follow our vision to bring it to this level. one of my most favourite view/ corner of the house. i could be gazing at it all day long. uffff. (am i really talking high about myself? LOL) (but any who)⁠⠀⁠⠀⁠⠀⁠⠀
