A little over a month ago, an Indian quietly made history as he re-entered the French port of Les Sable d'Olonne on his rather battered sailboat, from where he had left 236 days ago. Quietly, because this event received barely a passing mention amidst the hoopla of the IPL season. His weather beaten face covered with an untidy overgrowth broke out into a delighted smile as he took in the rapturous welcome. As he leaned out to shake hands with a familiar face on the receiving boat, he made the first human contact in eight months.
