Help me grow by the "LIKES" on my page... A little about Asad! He strongly believes that the furniture should speak of its quality and purity of its style.

In the times of modernization, it’s a tough task to retain traditions and originality in design in a market crowded with material from all over the world; yet survive. After graduating in architecture from the regional college (VRCE Nagpur) in 1992 he joined his ancestral business of furniture making as a junior architect. With dreams of modern designs it took years to understand the behavioral pa

tterns of the most commonly used material Teak Wood. As he grew up surrounded by wood and traditional styles of furniture making, he could dream of “The Revival” of the legacy of teak furniture crafted with hand by some of the most skilled craftsman of central India. His designs have revived the legacy of teak and are a reflection of his inherent talent, originality of thought and creativity retaining traditional ancestral values. Styles like ‘Art Deco’ & ‘Art Nouveau’ are still very close to his heart and there is always a reflection of these styles in his work. A meticulous approach to the detailing has always helped him in sculpting these furniture pieces from the best quality Indian Teak. Now, as the head of Firdos Furnishers, he is developing a progressive vernacular modernism by pairing uncompromising traditional constructional techniques with the abstraction of everyday industrial and natural form. He has had an opportunity to exhibit his works at various exhibitions in Delhi, Mumbai & Frankfurt in Germany. Some of his designs and furniture pieces have also been featured in Miami for their design & finish. Asad’s work has been featured in many media locally & internationally wining great reviews. Living and working in a small town Nagpur with limited market has never stopped Asad from thinking out of the box and develop new vocabulary in furniture designing, he always says “with my new designs. I want people to feel excited, curious, anxious and not just nostalgic”

The Squago 2022

Behold the Squago or square lego or perhaps even the Rubik's settee.
Many names of this multicoloured mass of cuboids.
The design of this piece can shift and change as per the choices of the user, almost like playing with lego or a Rubik's cube. The freedom to decide the style and placement of boxes is why we played so passionately with this design.
When we see furniture we often see it as simple or regal or pure or industrial but we wanted to explore it with a playful and interactive design. One which provides childlike pleasure and blis..

Entrance door and entrance lobby of this residence completed in 2020.. The 10feet entrance door has venetian design mirrored handles on ebony veneer and carved wood panels.
The lobby partition follows the same language with an addition of Travertine stone panels and etch glass sliding doors.
The ceiling inspired from origami and parametric crests the interesting contrast.
