Being a woman is a thousand different stories happening at once.

It’s dreaming while also doubting yourself.It’s building something while the world quietly asks if you can.It’s carrying love, responsibility, ambition, fear and strength, often all at the same time.

Every woman I know is doing her bit in her own way.🤍

Some are building businesses. Some are building homes. Some are raising children. Some are holding families together. Some are quietly chasing dreams no one else can see yet.

And most of us are doing many of these things all at once.

Nine years ago, DecorBTW started as a small idea during my college days, driven purely by my love for Indian art and beautiful homes. I didn’t know where it would go. I only knew I wanted to create.

Today it has grown into a community of 185K+ people, something that still feels surreal to me.

But this journey has also happened alongside life itself- becoming a wife, becoming a mother, and learning to grow through every version of myself.

And if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Women have an incredible ability to create spaces, ideas, communities, families, dreams.

So today isn’t just about celebrating one journey.

It’s about celebrating every woman who shows up every day and does her bit, in ways big or small, visible or unseen.

These are nameplates made by us, now living their lives in our customers’ home, greeting loved ones, welcoming new beginnings, witnessing everyday moments. And seeing them there? It fills our hearts in ways words can barely hold.

Our Pichwai beauty with brass bells has become something truly special, not just for our team of artisans who pour their heart into every piece, but for all of you who welcomed it into your homes so lovingly.

Over the last eight years, we’ve created so many designs, but this one has been different from the very first day it went live. The love, the messages, the photos you’ve shared… it has all been overwhelming in the most beautiful way.
It broke every record we’ve had so far and honestly, that still feels unreal.

Seeing our work become a part of your homes, your walls, your stories that’s the real joy for us.

Alankaar was first created for a dear friend living in Dubai.
We wanted to send her something simple yet rooted, something that blended beautifully into a modern home but carried a touch of India with it.

So we chose a deep maroon base, added real brass bells, and framed it with a pattern inspired by Ajrakh block printing, one of the oldest forms of hand-block art known for its bold motifs and symmetry.

It was made with love, just for her. But what followed surprised us.

Over the past few months, Alankaar has quietly made its way into many of your homes. And every time you choose it, personalize it, or gift it, we feel that same joy all over again.

You asked. We took our time. And finally, it’s here.✨

For the longest time, many of you have written to us saying, “We love your name signs, but our entryway is narrow… is there a hanging option?”

We heard you. And truthfully, we wanted to launch it sooner. But we were picky. Really picky.

We didn’t want to settle for metal brackets or off-the-shelf hooks. Not for something that represents your home. Not for something that holds your family’s name.

So we waited. Sampled. Scrapped. Rebuilt. We wanted a wooden bracket that felt solid, looked elegant, and belonged to the frame as much as your name does.

And now, finally it’s ready!

Meet our new hanging name signs, starting with Arambh, inspired by Indian block-printed textiles, and My Happy Home - a soft Ghibli inspired art piece that brings a little joy to your doorway.

These come with a handcrafted wooden bracket, made with real wood, not mdf and finished to last.

We hope they make your space feel a little warmer, a little more yours.
