✨ Looking up never felt so inspiring.

When designing the office space for Sai India Gypsum, we knew the ceiling couldn’t simply be a structural element it had to become the hero of the space. 🏢

As pioneers in gypsum products, their workspace needed to reflect the craftsmanship, flexibility, and elegance that define their material.

✨ Design Highlights

🌊 Sculpted Fluidity
Instead of conventional flat ceilings, we introduced layered, warm-toned organic curves that flow seamlessly through the workspace guiding the eye while enhancing the sense of volume.

💡 Integrated Organic Lighting
LED strip channels are seamlessly embedded within the gypsum forms, following their natural curves, while artistic abstract light fixtures become statement pieces within the space.

🎨 Cohesive Architectural Palette
A warm terracotta-textured ceiling is paired with soft pastel green accents, arched entryways, and terrazzo flooring creating a corporate environment that feels vibrant, contemporary, and grounded.

⚙️ Functional Sophistication
Technical elements such as concealed cassette AC units and lighting are carefully integrated into the stepped ceiling layers, maintaining a clean visual flow without compromising functionality.

At ASDA Architects, we believe the ceiling is more than just the fifth wall it is an opportunity to shape atmosphere, define character, and transform the way a space is experienced.

“Architecture begins where the ceiling meets imagination.” ✨

🏡 From a Dream Villa to a Stay Experience. 🌿

You hired us to design your dream villa and that’s where the story began.

A place designed to slow down, unwind, and feel closer to nature, brought to life as a stay experience in Badlapur, spread across 7,340.88 sq. m. ✨

The design follows one simple idea let the materials do the talking and allow every space to feel natural, warm, and connected to its surroundings.

From the graceful arched exterior and timber details 🌳 to the cane elements, patterned tiles, textured walls, and soft fabrics inside, every detail is thoughtfully curated around natural materials and a relaxed, earthy palette.

The design flows effortlessly from outdoors to indoors, from shared spaces to private corners carrying the same warm and inviting language throughout. 🤎

It’s not just a place to stay.
It’s a place to slow down, settle in, reconnect, and feel a little closer to nature. 🍃

🏡 Indian Interior Design in the 1980s ✨

Indian interiors in the 1980s were a distinct blend of post-independence modernism, craft revival, and middle-class functionalism. 🇮🇳

The era gradually moved away from strictly heavy traditionalism, embracing lighter, multi-functional spaces designed for urban apartment living while still maintaining a strong connection with native materials and traditional craftsmanship. 🌿

🪵 Key Architectural & Material Palettes

🪑 Woodwork:
Dark teakwood, Sheesham, and polished plywood with veneer finishes dominated cabinetry and wall paneling. Cane and rattan weaving (jaali work) were widely integrated into cabinet doors, room dividers, and chair backs, adding both character and ventilation.

◻️ Flooring:
Terrazzo (mosaic) flooring with brass or glass divider strips was an absolute staple of 80s Indian homes. Red oxide and mosaic tiles were also common, often layered with hand-tufted wool carpets or woven jute rugs.

🛋️ The Living Room Focus:
Heavy wooden sofa sets upholstered in jacquard, velvet, or patterned tapestry fabrics were central to the living room. A wooden coffee table often featured a glass top over decorative brass etchings, Kalamkari fabric, or carved motifs.

🌿 Swing Elements Jhula:
Brass-chained teak swings remained a statement feature in living rooms and spacious balconies, serving as both functional seating and a strong cultural design element.

🗄️ Built-in Storage:
Floor-to-ceiling showcases with glass sliding doors were designed to display brassware, crystal, souvenirs, collectibles, and treasured trophy pieces turning storage into a visual feature.

✨ The 1980s were about finding balance between tradition and modernity, craftsmanship and functionality, and heritage and evolving urban lifestyles.

A design era that continues to inspire contemporary Indian interiors. 🇮🇳🏛️

Architecture is more than the final photograph. It’s the planning, precision, coordination, craftsmanship, and countless decisions that happen long before a space comes to life.

Every detail has a purpose. Every element is refined. Every space tells a story.

From raw structure to refined experience. ✨

Some spaces are designed. Others are carefully sculpted into an experience.

This project captures the transformation of a raw, unfinished structure into a warm and immersive interior where organic forms, earthy textures, soft lighting, and carefully crafted details come together to create a distinctive sense of place.

The journey begins with a framework of mesh and structure, gradually taking shape through layers of craftsmanship, materiality, and design intent. The result is an interior that feels almost carved from the earth, with fluid ceilings, arched openings, natural tones, and thoughtfully placed lighting creating a calm and inviting atmosphere.

At ASDA Architects, we believe the true beauty of architecture lies in the transformation the ability to see beyond what exists and envision what a space can become.

Swipe through the transformation.
From structure to story. From vision to reality.

Scale is what brings an interior space together.

The right proportions between furniture, rugs, curtains, lighting and décor create a space that feels balanced, comfortable and intentional.

It’s not about making things bigger or smaller - it’s about getting the proportions right.

Because when the scale works, the entire space works.

Luxury is rarely defined by a single material. It comes from the balance between textures, tones, finishes and the way each element complements the other.

From the warmth of Walnut paired with Patagonia Quartzite, to the depth of Dark Oak with Breccia Capraia, the softness of Light Oak with Calacatta Viola, and the richness of Dark Walnut with Verde Guatemala each pairing creates a distinct mood while keeping the space refined and timeless.

Because when materials are thoughtfully paired, they don’t just finish a space. They define its character.
