There was a time when letters traveled
slowly through the world —
carrying pieces of our hearts
in neatly folded pages.
Not typed, not tapped,
but written with fingers
that trembled with feeling.
Every word chosen like a gift,
every sentence stitched with care.
Even now, in this world
of quick replies and missed notifications,
there’s something sacred about paper —
how it remembers touch,
how it holds emotion
long after the ink dries.
Today, I became the messenger
for a friendship that blooms quietly.
I wrote for her —
a friend who wanted her bestie
to feel the weight of her love,
the softness of her heart,
the gratitude hiding in her smile.
We decorated the page
with hydrangeas —
petals that speak of understanding,
of patience,
of a bond that doesn’t fade with distance.
And above them, little stars —
tiny lights reminding us
that even on the hardest days,
someone thinks of us
and wishes us joy.
How beautiful it is,
to write a letter for someone
you care about —
to seal your emotions
and send them out into the world,
trusting they’ll reach the right hands.
A letter is more than paper.
It is a memory that can be held,
a heartbeat that can be read,
a reminder that love —
in all its forms —
still chooses to stay.
So here’s to letters,
to friendships that feel like home,
to hydrangeas blooming quietly,
and stars that never stop shining…
Here’s to the magic of words
that travel from one heart
to another. 💐⭐💌
