Who is an A.R.T.I.S.T. ?
Over the years working as a Designer I have come to this question banging in my mind time and again !!! The lines between the two have been beautifully blurred for centuries.
If someone is intentionally putting something out into the world to express an internal vision, create human connection, or bring aesthetic beauty into existence, they are an artist—regardless of whether their tool is a paintbrush, a camera, a kitchen knife, a space or a keyboard.
A Designer solves the Problem.
An artist asks the question!!!!
And apparently I feel I am always the one asking questions driven by an internal impulse. Calling yourself an artist can sometimes feel intimidating—like you need a grand gallery show or a certificate to justify it. But you don’t.
I would say anyone who adds human perspective, emotion, and soul to what they create, is an artist !!!
