A dining space that brings tradition into everyday living.

For this Nerul home, we blended warm wood, carved details, patterned tiles and muted green upholstery to create a space that feels rooted in Kerala influences without becoming overly traditional.

The built-in seating helps use the area efficiently, while the carved wooden column, crockery storage and brass details add character and continuity with the rest of the home.

A space designed not just for meals, but for conversations, family time and everyday use.

A calm room, with just enough character. 🤎

For the Parents’ Bedroom at our Nerul site, we kept the palette soft and soothing, then added warmth through wood, muted mauve tones and gentle curves.

The arched wall detail, upholstered headboard, compact study and integrated storage bring together comfort, function and a subtle traditional touch—without making the room feel heavy.

A bedroom designed to feel warm, practical and easy to live in every day.

A modern bedroom, with a little Kerala soul. 🌿

For this Nerul master bedroom, we wanted the space to feel contemporary without losing the family’s roots.

The carved wooden moulding headboard brings in warmth and craftsmanship, while an old saree was repurposed into the wardrobe shutter detail—turning something sentimental into part of the home.

Clean lines. Warm wood. Subtle traditional references.
A room that feels modern, but still personal.

One room. Two kids. Two very different routines.

This kids’ room was planned to adapt with them — not just look good today.

One fixed bed for everyday use, and one fold-down bed that can be tucked away when not needed, giving the room more open floor space through the day.

Storage was planned along the length of the room, with dedicated study areas, display shelves and concealed functionality built into the design.

Because when space is limited, every element has to earn its place.

Designed around how the room will actually be used.

Not every important site decision is visible in the final photos.

On one of our sites, we received plywood that was not up to the expected quality.

This is exactly why material inspection on site matters.

If such issues are ignored, the compromise gets built into the furniture itself.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we believe quality is not only about the final finish.

It is also about checking what goes inside the work:

* materials
* structure
* fittings
* detailing
* ex*****on quality

When we noticed the issue, we got the plywood replaced immediately.

Because some things should never be “adjusted” on site.

Material inspection is a must. We cannot compromise on quality.

Nerul Site | Living & Dining Room

A warm, rooted living-dining space designed with traditional details and everyday functionality.

From the carved wooden pillar and brick-clad entrance to the swing seating, custom console, dining partition, mandir corner and warm lighting — every detail was planned to make the home feel personal, not showroom-like.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we believe a home should reflect the people living in it.

Not just trends.
Not just references.
A home should feel warm, practical and lived-in.

Nerul Site | Living & Dining Room

Some homes don’t need to follow trends.
They need details that feel rooted, warm and personal.

For this living & dining space, we worked with a mix of traditional character and everyday functionality — carved wooden details, a brick-clad foyer, swing seating, custom console, mandir corner, warm lighting and practical built-ins.

Every element was planned to make the home feel lived-in, not showroom-like.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we design homes that balance comfort, character and daily use.

Nerul Site | Living & Dining Room

A warm, rooted and functional living-dining space created with traditional details, layered materials and practical planning.

This home was not designed to look like a showroom.

It was designed to feel personal.

From the carved wooden pillar to the brick-clad foyer, open dining partition, custom console, swing seating, warm lighting and textured finishes — every detail was planned to bring character into everyday living.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we believe a home should reflect the people living inside it.

Not just trends.
Not just references.
Not just final photos.

A home should feel warm, practical and personal.

A site in progress may look dusty, unfinished, and chaotic.

But this is where the real work happens.

False ceiling points are checked.
Carpentry starts taking shape.
Storage is reviewed.
Electrical positions are corrected.
Finishes are coordinated.
Measurements are rechecked.
Small site decisions are made before they become permanent.

Because interior design is not only about the final photos.

It is about the planning, coordination, and checking that happens before the home is ready.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we focus on how the home will look, function, and feel in everyday life.

A good design can still go wrong during ex*****on.

This usually happens when measurements are not rechecked, drawings are not followed properly, electrical points are planned too late, materials are selected separately, or site decisions are taken without proper coordination.

Interior design is not only about creating a beautiful concept.

It also needs:

• Accurate measurements
• Clear drawings
• Practical detailing
• Material coordination
• Proper work sequence
• Site-level decisions
• Regular checking

Because the final home is not built inside a presentation.

It is built on site — with workers, materials, measurements, timelines, and daily decisions.

At HM Interior Design Studio, we focus on both planning and ex*****on coordination so the design works in real life.
