Sports Authority of India (SAI), in association with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), announced the launch of one of India's largest dedicated High-Performance Centre (HPC) at the SAI Campus in Bengaluru, . The Foundation Stone Ceremony of this landmark project was held in the presence of Hon’ble Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya - Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri. Hari Ranjan Rao - Director General, Sports Authority of India and Dr. D.K. Sunil - Chairman & Managing Director, on 31 December 2025 in Bengaluru.
Collage Design, as the and Project Management , has been working closely with SAI and its team of Sports Scientists and to develop this state-of-the-art HPC for and Athletes. The HPC will consolidate all performance related disciplines — Sports , , and , Anthropometry, , , , and — within a single integrated facility. This will enable seamless integration of expertise, resources and services.
This HPC is designed to seamlessly fit into the campus and enhance the connectivity to the surrounding facilities. The floors generate a sequence of functional terraces and gardens at multiple levels, enhancing athlete experience, promoting visual connectivity, ensuring natural light and ventilation, while integrating the built form with the surroundings.
The project will focus on optimizing athlete health and well-being, maximizing performance outcomes, developing and implementing injury prediction and models, enhancing education and awareness among and and promoting lifelong skill development for athletes, coaches and sports . This facility is not merely about testing and assessment; it is about creating a sustainable high-performance ecosystem where science and practice converge to consistently produce .
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for funding this project through their initiative and Sports Authority of India for envisioning this multi storied sports centre to serve generations of athletes, strengthen the sports eco system and creating an environment where excellence can thrive. The HAL-SAI in will be a benchmark for Accessible and development of Sporting Infrastructure in India, as we prepare to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030 and aspire to host the Paralympic Games and Olympics in the future.
