The spatial experience evolves through light. During the day, natural illumination highlights the subtle textures and muted palette, while by night, the sculptural ceiling - inspired by Boro textile patchwork - emerges as a luminous installation, casting a soft, diffused glow that anchors the entire dining space.

Something about plans after work just makes everything get done faster… no complaints though.

The private dining rooms are articulated through delicate wooden lattice screens, drawing from East Asian spatial principles of permeability and layering. These enclosures create a sense of intimacy without complete visual isolation, allowing light and glimpses of the larger space to filter through.

The karaoke room introduces a more expressive design language. Acoustic wall panelling ensures sound comfort, while neon cat graphics add a contemporary, playful layer; balancing performance, functionality, and visual character.

The bar is envisioned as a moment of quiet contrast within the space. A backlit stone veneer forms a textured canvas, while the illuminated onyx counter introduces warmth and depth - creating a setting that feels both grounded and atmospheric, especially as the lighting transitions into the evening.

Mirai, Bandra is designed as a quiet balance between Japanese precision and Korean dining culture. The space stays intentionally minimal in palette, letting textures, materials and live cooking take focus. It’s less about excess and more about how each element comes together to create a calm, immersive dining environment.

The entrance begins with a wall that tells a story.
A large textured wall sits right beside the entrance, unfolding like a landscape, mountains, temples, traces of architecture, and hints of greenery, all coming together in one continuous surface.
This is what design can do. It doesn’t just decorate, it transports.

It begins at the door.
Deep red, tall, and inviting, it feels less like an entrance and more like a threshold. The moment you cross it, the outside fades, and you’re pulled into a space that feels richer, warmer, and completely its own.
From there, the story opens up in corners, in textures, in the way every seat finds its place.

There’s colour, and then there’s expression.
From deep blues to warmer tones, from art-lined walls to a ceiling that moves with the space, this side feels fluid, almost instinctive. The kind of design that catches your eye and holds it, without trying too hard.

And then there’s the bar, layered with motifs and artefacts like a collection of stories in the background. It adds depth without taking away from the flow, making the space feel even more rich, lived-in, and complete.
