ICONIC PIECES — Nature Meets Design.

Some pieces have been with us since the beginning. Others came later, through new discoveries and experiments.

Each one tells a different story, but they all share the same idea: letting natural materials speak for themselves.

Wood, stone, moss and transparent resin come together in unexpected ways, revealing textures, shapes and details that nature has created over time.

We don't look for perfection or uniformity. We love the differences that make every piece unique.

Different materials, different forms. One shared vision.

CRAFT & MATTER — The Art of Revealing.

We love discovering what lies beneath the surface.

Every piece of wood, every stone, every natural fragment has its own character — shaped by time, full of unexpected details.

In our workshop, we combine traditional craftsmanship with experimentation, working closely with each material and letting its nature guide us.

Sometimes we preserve, sometimes we cut, sometimes we transform. But we always try to reveal something that was already there, waiting to be seen.

For us, craftsmanship is as much about listening to matter as it is about shaping it.

MANIFESTO — Silent Matter. Living Presence.

We believe that every material has a story to tell.

Between the Venice Lagoon and the Dolomites, we find inspiration in landscapes shaped by water, air, light and time.

We are fascinated by the traces nature leaves behind — the marks, textures and imperfections that make every fragment unique.

Through our work, we try to preserve these stories and give them a new presence, without losing the spirit of the places they come from.

Not simply objects, but fragments of landscapes.

Some pieces are designed.
Others are endured.

Anchor III was born from three monumental Venetian Bricola poles, shaped by decades beneath the tides of the Venetian lagoon.

Between them, a single crystal-clear resin casting preserves the space once occupied by water, transforming absence into presence.

A seamless pour of this scale demands patience, precision, and the willingness to let nature, gravity, and time become part of the process.

What seems effortless is the result of a fragile balance between craftsmanship and uncertainty.

The lagoon sculpted the wood.
We simply learned how to preserve its silence.

Some pieces ask to be designed.
Others ask to be endured.

Anchor III is carved from three monumental Venetian Bricola poles, their surfaces shaped by decades beneath the tides of the lagoon. Between them, a single crystal-clear resin casting preserves the space once occupied by water, turning absence into presence.

Its generous scale makes this gesture extraordinarily demanding. Achieving such a volume in one seamless pour requires patience, precision and the acceptance that nature, gravity and time become part of the making.

What appears effortless is, in reality, a delicate balance between craftsmanship and uncertainty.

The lagoon sculpted the wood.
We simply learned how to preserve its silence.

Where earthly matter echoes the cosmos

The MARS Table by Alcarol turns poplar burl, red pigments, and extra-clear resin into a suspended fragment of another planet. 🔴✨

A balance of raw nature and cosmic illusion, where every texture feels carved by time and light. More than a table — a landscape in orbit. 🪐

Currently featured in Matter as Cosmos at CIBONE, curated with visuals and spatial direction by YOSHIROTTEN and YAR.

alcarol operates in a region surrounded by Italy’s rich natural beauty.
On their days off, they venture into the mountains with their beloved dog, gathering materials they find and bringing them back to transform into their creations. Through this literally down-to-earth practice, their focus extends not only to the earth beneath their feet but also to the vastness of the cosmos.

Inspired by the stars that constantly shine above us, these four tables are named <Uranus>, <Moon>, <Venus>, and <Mars>. They possess mysterious colors and textures that evoke extraterrestrial materials.

In reality, however, they are created by saturating rare wood—grown under unique conditions in nature—with an iron-rich acidic oil and allowing it to oxidize.

Their appearance evokes the surfaces of unknown planets, beyond the reach even of a telescope. The grand romance inherent in them is deeply connected to the nature of this Earth, which we inhabit and cherish.

Furthermore, for this exhibition, YAR—led by YOSHIROTTEN, whose recent work centers on an interest in the unknown, including the cosmos—is responsible for the visuals, video, sound, and spatial design. This experience, which resonates with the artwork, transcends visual understanding and guides viewers into a deeper, more immersive experience.

──Four planets meet and slowly begin to overlap.
Through fragments of each planet, new landscapes emerge.
The surface of Mars viewed through the soft light of Venus; the outline of the Moon being eroded by Uranus.
Planets that were once far apart now trace the point where their paths intersect.

In the motion graphics, fragments of the planets drift through space in a myriad of movements—combined with low, sustained sounds and layers of noise, they awaken a curiosity about the unknown universe.

VOLCANIC MATTER: Vulcano Bookends
A suspended section.

The Vulcano Bookends encapsulate the moment lava meets the surrounding sea — abruptly cooled, fractured, and transformed.

Porous volcanic stone, marked by internal ruptures, is held within transparent resin that evokes the presence of water, preserving a delicate balance between density and fluidity.

Like geological cross-sections, their cut surfaces reveal hidden structures shaped by thermal contrast — voids, textures, and fractures generated in the instant where heat is absorbed and released.

More than functional objects, they act as minimal architectural markers — fragments of a submerged landscape where matter, time, and energy briefly reach equilibrium.
