One of my favorite home installations to date ✨

The Nebula Grande Chandelier finding its place in ’s beautifully curated billiards room. masculine, minimalist, bold interior lines paired with the soft, ethereal presence of my chandelier. Light doesn’t always have to dominate a space… sometimes it’s about floating gently within it. ✨

The Phantasma Lamp holds a very special place in my heart. I remember when I made it - I was still a confused and struggling student finding my place in the world. Inspired by the ethereal beauty of the human spirit, it represents souls rising to the heavens, a quiet and graceful journey towards light. To see this design now featured in the stunning Fincadelica Xarraca villa in Ibiza, as part of a Forbes luxury travel article, is just a dream come true 🤩 (head to my website for the article link under the forbes icon)

Fincadelica Xarraca is a place that celebrates the extraordinary. From its 32,000 square feet of opulent space to the breathtaking sea views, this villa is a sanctuary of design and serenity. With 9 stunning suites and a price tag starting at €70,000 per week (in low season), it sets a new standard for ultimate luxury escapes. ✨ so happy but can’t help being a tiny bit jealous that my lamps get to live their best lives 😆

10 years ago, I sat in this very class at , never imagining that one day I’d return as a guest speaker presenting my design journey.

I had the honor of speaking to the design and engineering students in Lucia Rampino’s class - design thinking, which explores the four evolving perspectives of product design: technical, human, digital, and social. Each perspective represents a unique way of understanding and practicing design, and the course featured guests embodying each one. To be selected as the speaker representing the fourth perspective - social design, which considers the role of design in shaping and addressing sustainability and societal systems, is an incredible acknowledgment of the path I’ve traveled.

A heartfelt thank you to Francesca Mattioli and Lucia Rampino for inviting me. It was a true pleasure and privilege to be back in the University grounds to contribute to your course. Thank you to the students for your thoughtful questions and active participation. Your energy and sincere curiosity made this experience memorable.

As a Filipina artist living and working in Italy, I have often found myself reflecting on what it means to stay connected to one’s roots. For many of us living abroad, light carries profound meaning. The glow of the Philippine sun is more than a memory; it is a connection to family, to traditions, and to the landscapes of home. This exhibit is my way of sharing that connection, not only with fellow Filipinos but also with our friends here in Italy and beyond.

The centerpiece of this exhibit, Bukang-Liwayway (Dawn), represents the first light of day, a symbol of renewal and hope. Dawn is a universal moment, but for me it signifies the ability to rise, to endure, and to bloom, even in unfamiliar soil. Up on the embassy walls are lightscapes inspired by the delicate beauty of Philippine flora, crafted in collaboration with the talented Giah De Los Reyes. They are up on sale and all profits will go to support our weavers in Catanduanes affected by the severe tropical storm “pepito” that ravaged the island and took away their homes.

This exhibit is deeply personal. I offer it as a tribute to my grandmother, who passed away just before this event. The distance made it impossible for me to be with my family, and the whirlwind of preparations only added to the ache. But in my heart, I like to believe that she left just in time to be there in spirit and to share in this moment with us. 💛🕊️

A heartfelt thanks to the Philippine Embassy in Rome for their unwavering support in showcasing Filipino creativity, Ms. Nina and Ms. Naive, to my Italian family who made the trip from Milan to Rome to and to help me in every way they can, my mom and to the weavers in Bicol whose artistry inspired so much of this work, all our honorable and distinguished guests, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs Elena Algabre, Ambassador Nathaniel Imperial, Congressman Salvatore Deidda, and our excellencies from the members of the ASEAN based in Rome - thank you for your attendance. Maraming salamat po, and thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️🇵🇭🇮🇹

I’m offering my lightscape paintings for sale to support our weavers devastated by Typhoon “Man-yi”. These artisans have lost their homes, tools, and looms—the very heart of their craft.

These works are inspired by the delicate beauty of Philippine flora, crafted in collaboration with the talented Giah De los Reyes .orgiahnism. They are currently on view at the Philippine Embassy in Rome as part of our “Tropical Lightscapes” exhibit.
By purchasing our art, you’re not just collecting a piece of beauty; you’re restoring livelihoods and preserving a centuries-old tradition.

60% of proceeds (100% profit) will go directly to affected weavers to rebuild their lives and continue their artistry. Let’s weave a story of hope together. ❤️
