Peonies in October. Lily of the valley in August. Every season we’re asked for a flower that simply isn’t there.

So we built something: the Lake Como Bloom Calendar.

Choose your wedding month, tap the colours you love, and see which flowers are at their best that week, and which can still be sourced with a little compromise. 100 flowers, from the ranunculus of the Riviera to the camellias of the villa gardens, with a month-by-month season strip for each.

It’s free, it lives on our site, and it answers the first question we ask every client before we draw a single stem: what does nature offer on your date?

A flower field running down the center of the tables is one of the most beautiful designs, and one of the easiest to get wrong. Without a clear hand, it quickly stops feeling calm and abundant and starts looking cluttered.

The secret is intention: every stem placed with purpose, every height and gap considered.

For this dinner at Villa Sola Cabiati, we worked with a soft palette of lavender and light peach, grounded by a few deep, dark accents for contrast and depth.
