The term Mishan Malayer refers to a distinctive type of rug woven in the village of Mishan, located south of Malayer in Iran. Produced between the late nineteenth century and the 1920s, pieces such as the one presented here are among the most refined expressions of Persian rug-making.
Hand-knotted with a symmetrical knot, these rugs are distinguished by their soft wool and compact pile, qualities that ensure both durability and elegance. The use of natural colours — including cochineal red, beige and blue — creates a harmonious and sophisticated visual effect.
Its decoration reflects a multifaceted style, combining elements drawn from the diverse artistic traditions of Central and Far Eastern cultures.

This sumptuous Turkish rug of Ushak quality is hand-knotted in wool, with both warp and weft also in wool, as in ancient examples. This splendid piece is decorated with the so-called “Lotto” motif, named after the famous painter Lorenzo Lotto, one of the leading figures of the Venetian Renaissance in the early 16th century, who depicted rugs with Anatolian-inspired decorations in his paintings. This motif is certainly the most well-known.

As spectators, we admired in Milan the collection that brings the imaginative and almost dreamlike universe of Fornasetti into the tactile and material world of cc-tapis, merging two iconic forces of Italian design. As protagonists, we will bring this collection—ranging from finely hand-knotted Tibetan rugs to hand-embroidered tapestries—to our gallery in Florence.

Although Zeki Müren was primarily known for his music, extravagant costumes, and feminine makeup, very few people know that he was also a talented textile designer. Rugs created from his designs in the 1960s and 1970s are now highly appreciated by collectors. Some feature jewel-like geometric motifs, while others present abstract forms in bold 1970s colors. Each piece stands out for its visionary aesthetic and creative spirit.

Taimany rugs, hand-knotted in Afghanistan, are the result of an authentic and deeply ethical project that directly invests in local Afghan communities. Made with high-quality natural wool, these rugs stem from ancient artisanal traditions passed down through generations, ensuring durability, quality, and uniqueness in every piece. The project actively supports economic and social development in Afghanistan, promoting fair and dignified working conditions, especially for women. With their elegant and harmonious design, Taimany rugs adapt perfectly to any interior style, from modern to classic, becoming decorative elements with strong aesthetic and human value. A Taimany rug is not just a high-quality product, but a conscious choice that combines beauty, tradition, and social responsibility.

Round rugs are often considered an anomaly, as looms typically have rectangular proportions. This makes the creation of circular pieces more complex, as they are usually made to order. The rug we present is of European manufacture (Axminster) and features an exclusive design specifically created to enhance its circular shape, harmonizing beautifully with a modern sofa.

In this living room on the hills of Florence, the designer has created an eclectic and refined space: the geometry of Nava kilim rugs blends with the Renaissance setting of Florentine palaces, enveloping the space in an unexpected warmth made of light and contrasts. Nava kilims are flat-weave rugs that reproduce decorative motifs inspired by handwoven blankets of Native American Navajo tribes.

Kazak rugs represent an important testimony to the textile art and culture of the ancient nomadic peoples of Central Asia. They were produced in the mountainous regions of present-day Kazakhstan (hence the name) and the Caucasus area, including parts of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. These rugs were created by nomadic tribes whose lives were closely tied to pastoralism and agriculture, making rugs an integral part of their culture and lifestyle. Each Kazak rug is therefore a testament to the rich culture and traditions of these ancient nomadic peoples.
