The communal areas of the Baglioni Hotel in London reflect the hotel’s rich historical identity to visitors. The design by Spagnulo & Partners aims to preserve this aspect, while introducing new furnishings. Throughout the various spaces, modern lamps and contemporary seats alternate with traditional elements, such as the large Venetian chandelier in the entrance hall. In the spa, the design chooses an understated, minimalist style, creating a space of calm and wellbeing. The stylistic refinement and the complexity of the cultural references make this project a tangible example of the importance of storytelling in the interior design experience. This philosophy stands in clear contrast to the mere exercise of style, proposing a concept of modernity that stems from a process of exploring the identity of materials and objects.
