BISOLO Bathroom system

Typical of houses in seaside villages, the Bisolo in Sicily is a stone step that allows access to the home—but it is more than just a passageway. The Bisolo is a place, marked by shared stories, relationships, and a sense of belonging. It exists in a dimension between public and private, gathering the family around it, fostering discussions. It serves as a seat, a surface, and a playground. Children, climbing onto it, test their courage with a leap.
I envisioned a Bisolo within the bathroom—a stone step on which to place free, movable objects, either close together or spaced apart. A rhythm of elements that shape relationships among them, creating a spontaneous aesthetic made of overlaps and proximities. Volumes of wood and stone form compositions, while stone washbasins highlight its function. A stone plinth clads the lower section of the wall, housing a light source that casts a wall-washer beam onto the stone surface.
A system of “burnt” steel accessories and mirrors complete the collection.

SORGENTE washbasin

Sorgente is a wall-mounted washbasin system composed of two distinct modules, conceived as both the origin and the point of convergence of everyday gestures related to water and care. Each module is defined by a specific composition of carved basins, convex resting elements, and small integrated containers for soap and accessories.
The surfaces are shaped through a sequence of cavities and reliefs: alongside the basins are soft protrusions, resembling small spheres emerging from the material, which function as support surfaces, while recessed bowls accommodate objects, shaping a surface that accompanies and organizes daily care rituals. The arrangement of these elements varies from one module to another, generating complementary configurations.
The two modules can be paired, alternated, repeated, or used individually, giving rise to multiple compositions. This flexibility allows the system to adapt to different spaces, needs, and rhythms, while maintaining a constant balance between function and form. Their longitudinal dimension corresponds to the modules of various Lithea wall systems, establishing a direct dialogue with them. The system aligns with their rhythm and modularity, contributing to the creation of a coherent environment in which material, architecture, and everyday use merge into a single system.

FRAMMENTI wall tiles

Frammenti is a modular stone cladding designed in a 20×10 format, developed within the research path carried out by Martinelli Venezia for Lithea. The project originates as an evolution and reinterpretation of the work Tracce, translating its principles into a new scale and a new compositional system, within a shared language based on the relationship between material, sign, and composition.
A composition of 27 different tiles, in which each module is defined by engravings, reliefs, and textures that transform the surface into a field of visual and tactile traces. Geometries, micro-architectures, and material variations give shape to an open system, where the design is never unitary but emerges from the juxtaposition and repetition of elements.
The project interprets the wall as an active surface, capable of receiving and conveying memory, rhythm, and depth. The composition develops through a grammar of solids and voids, light and shadow, continuity and discontinuity.
In continuity with Tracce and the projects presented for Lithea, Frammenti extends an ongoing line of research on stone as a narrative material, transforming it into a device capable of engaging with architecture and the everyday experience of space.

ARCATE coffee table

Arcate is a collection of coffee tables that draws inspiration from the timeless form of the arch, elevating it into a defining identity: a motif capable of binding together strength and lightness, solidity and grace. The repetition of this form creates a continuous visual rhythm, echoing the perspective of historic porticos, where each arch opens onto the next, guiding the eye through the space. A metallic insert, integrated into every arch, reinforces the structure from within, ensuring solidity without betraying its apparent weightlessness. Its presence introduces a material dialogue that becomes an integral part of the collection’s identity: the polished coolness of metal meets the organic texture of stone, in a juxtaposition of surfaces that enriches the product’s character and highlights its artisanal craftsmanship. Arcate becomes a fragment of domestic architecture; an object that brings the memory of grander spaces into the home environment.

CANNITU wall tiles

Cannitu takes inspiration from bamboo, its visual cadence, and the spontaneous geometry of reed beds. This wall cladding is born from the intersection of formal rigour and organic nature: a base slab, marked by vertical lines that evoke the irregular grain of the stalks, serves as the starting point for a composition in full relief. An element in three dimensions with diagonally cut ends emerges from the surface, accentuating the depth of the plane and recreating the knotted, living structure of the stem. The design grows upwards, following the natural orientation of bamboo: stalks of varying heights alternate freely, forming an ensemble that recalls the uneven, vital movement of a thicket. Where the reeds end before the upper limit, the flat ribbed module fills the empty spaces, restoring balance and completeness to the overall composition. CAVEA is a modular wall system inspired by the memory of marble quarries and the marks left by extraction processes. The project translates these traces into a contemporary architectural language, transforming the surface into a continuous material landscape.

MINIMO sink + open-frame cabinet
MINIMO is a sink system reduced to its essential form, conceived as a pure volume carved from matter. The project stems from a process of subtraction, in which marble is shaped to accommodate primary functions within it, eliminating any superfluous element.
The open-frame cabinet is carved from a compact block, within which the basin is directly hollowed out from the top, in continuous form with the surface. The sink is not an applied component, but an integral part of the volume, generated from the same material.

The collection originates from theatre and is deeply rooted in Greek culture, where the mask has never been a mere ornament, but a powerful symbolic tool. It amplifies the voice, alters identity, protects and reveals at the same time. Four mythical figures take shape in marble — an eternal, hard and compact material, yet capable of holding emotions and returning them through light.

MEDUSA
Figura ambigua e potentissima, capace di pietrificare con lo sguardo. Qui la trasformazione è duplice. Nel mito la carne diventa pietra, nell’oggetto il mito si fa marmo. I serpenti si traducono in linee fluide che si diramano sulla superficie attraverso intarsi e rilievi, costruendo una trama dinamica e inquieta. Il volto resta sospeso tra bellezza e minaccia, tra armonia classica e tensione drammatica.
Materiali: Bianco Avorio, Pietra Pece, Bardiglio Imperiale, Forest Green. Struttura in metallo.

EURIALE
Sorella di Medusa, meno narrata ma altrettanto feroce, Euriale incarna la dimensione corale della tragedia greca. La maschera enfatizza l’espressività attraverso un lavoro profondo di intarsi e stratificazioni tridimensionali. I volumi emergono con decisione, le ombre sono nette, le superfici incise catturano la luce. Le venature naturali della pietra entrano nel racconto, come cicatrici o memorie impresse sul volto.

EURIALE
Medusa’s sister, less narrated yet equally fierce, Euriale embodies the choral dimension of Greek tragedy. The mask emphasizes expressiveness through deep inlays and three-dimensional layering. Volumes emerge decisively, shadows are sharp, and engraved surfaces capture the light. The natural veins of the stone enter the narrative, like scars or memories imprinted on the face.

BACCO
God of intoxication and metamorphosis, Bacco is movement crystallized in stone. The face is crossed by sculpted vegetal elements — vines and leaves intertwining like in a theatrical bas-relief. Chromatic inlays interact with three-dimensional textures, making the surface vibrant, almost pulsating. Soft lines contrast with the solidity of marble, creating a visual short circuit between vitality and stillness.
