(ING in the comments) 48h a Milano da ricordare.

I’d like to share these bowls, brought from Japan and made by my master, Kato Hiroshige.

They come from his studio in Seto, where I lived for a period— a place that stayed with me, and that I can still feel in these forms, reminiscent of shells, simple and natural.

They’re perfect for breakfast, but they adapt easily to any moment.

Only a few pieces are available, on request.

Japanese clay and Ofuke and Shino glazes, prepared by the master.

They’ve travelled a long way to get here. I’m really happy to share them with you.

Wild Japanese clay and a glaze made using only the ash from the wood used to heat the bath water.

I still find it amazing how much the colors shift — the clay never really does the same thing twice.

The last photo is before firing, just before everything changes.

When I was in Japan, I made a promise to myself: once back home, I would keep doing the things that made me feel good there.
I admit it’s not always easy, but I do my best to honor that promise — and the version of me who, with so much effort, moved through moments of deep introspection.

In these photos, there’s everything I love:
• matcha
• my favorite cup
• the kimono bought from Studio Waraya
• the cherry blossom tree in bloom
• the photographer Luca Falovo

A quiet kind of serenity.

KURINUKI cups I made in Seto back in January during my stay at KASEN studio works with the precious guidance of Shingo Takeuchi
Forever grateful to have had the chance to practice this amazing technique where it was born.
Forever grateful for my hands that have learnt to make what my heart desires (most of the time).
Forever grateful for the people I met.

It’s been almost three months since I landed in Japan, and it feels like an eternity has passed.
I often think about the month I spent in Seto, and I miss it deeply.
I will always be grateful to my master, my Japanese dad . He believed in me and in my art when maybe I didn’t fully believe in myself yet.
Thank you again, Sensei, and thank you to the special people I met there. I miss you all.

My long journey in Japan has come to an end, but my last week there felt like a quiet blessing.

I was just living my days without really thinking that it was about to end.
Time alone, working, photographing the pieces I created, and one simple lunch with the other residents and Hamana.

Nothing special, but at the same time it felt like everything.

I’m not home yet, so I still don’t really know how I feel.
Maybe I’m just trying not to think about Japan… to avoid missing it too soon.

A life-changing experience, in its own quiet way.

Thank you very much to

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN…

Rainy days at the residency.
Everything slows down — the air, the thoughts, the hands.

The sound of rain on the grass, the smell of wet earth, clay waiting quietly on the table.

Some days are not meant for doing.
They are meant for listening with no guilt.
