Marisa Falcone’s autumn–winter collection has arrived at Manufacto.

Flowers, branches and delicate intertwining forms. Small sculptures that draw lines through space and cast new shadows as the light changes.

Placed among the objects in the store, they create a new landscape to discover as autumn arrives here in Val d’Orcia.

Come and see them at Manufacto.

At Manufacto, we work with craftspeople and artists of different ages, nationalities, and backgrounds, each with their own path and story.

One of them is Riccardo Marcucci, based in Bagno Vignoni.

Looking at his work reminds us that creating something does not necessarily require a large workshop or many tools.

A branch found nearby, a nut, a seed, a flower.

He picks them up, carves them with a small knife, and brings them together.

And from these ordinary fragments of nature, a deer appears, a flower takes shape.

In an age driven by digital speed and efficiency, his handwork quietly reminds us of the tenderness and playfulness we still carry within us, and of our ability to look at nature and imagine something new.

What Riccardo creates from wood is perhaps more than simply an object. It is a small piece of poetry.

A pensarci bene, è naturale,

NATSUKO TOYOFUKU
Jewellery changes when it meets the body.

A curve follows a finger.
An irregular circle rests against the skin.
A sculptural form becomes part of a gesture.

Natsuko Toyofuku’s jewellery is shaped by soft, organic lines — never quite symmetrical, never quite still.

Born in Japan and based in Milan, she creates pieces in silver and bronze that sit somewhere between jewellery and small sculpture.

They are objects to look at, but above all, objects to wear.

A selection of Natsuko Toyofuku jewellery is available at Manufacto, Val d’Orcia.

WHAT YOU DON’T SEE
At first, it looks simple.
A glass plate. A pattern. A deep field of colour.
But turn it over, and another story begins.
Each line is painted by hand on the glass. Layer after layer of urushi — Japanese lacquer — is applied from the reverse, until the transparent surface acquires depth, colour and an extraordinary richness.

Designed by and handcrafted in Japan by artisan .

Two different practices — design and craftsmanship — come together in a single object.

What appears simple is often the result of many gestures we never see.
Available at Manufacto, Val d’Orcia.
Red and blue, in different variations.

MADE BY HAND
Before an object reaches Manufacto,
there are hands behind it.
Hands that cut, shape, heat, polish.
Hands that know a material through time and repetition.
Wood, metal, glass, lacquer — each asks for a different gesture, a different kind of attention.
What we look for is not simply something handmade, but something in which the hand of the maker still remains.

Objects with a maker behind them.

At Manufacto, Val d’Orcia.
