GHIACCIO: frosted glass.

Named after the Italian word for ice, Ghiaccio is defined by its distinctive frosted texture, created by applying granzioli, small fragments of glass resembling crushed ice, to the vase while still incandescent. Each piece is blown and hand-worked in Murano, making every Ghiaccio unique. Discover the Ghiaccio style on our website.

Each piece is blown while still soft, then, once cooled, carved by hand — every incision made by instinct, never by template. It’s this cold-carving that gives the surface its depth, catching the light differently from every angle — as seen here, glowing against the lagoon at sunset.

Ogni pezzo viene soffiato quando il vetro è ancora morbido, poi, una volta raffreddato, inciso a mano — ogni taglio nasce dall’istinto, mai da uno schema. On the occasion of The Venice Glass Week 2026, Galleria Micheluzzi presents Sfumature di Vetro, a collection exploring the interplay between colour, light and carving.
The new Sfumati vases by Micheluzzi Glass, designed by Elena and Margherita Micheluzzi, combine delicate colour gradients with intricate hand-carving, creating depth and movement within the glass.
Hand-blown and deeply hand-carved in Murano, each vase captures and reflects the light, revealing transparency, movement and ever-changing tones, evoking the shimmering reflections of water.
Each piece is unique, celebrating the expressive nature of handmade glass.

In occasione di The Venice Glass Week 2026, la Galleria Micheluzzi presenta Sfumature di Vetro, una collezione che esplora l’incontro tra colore, luce e incisione.
I nuovi vasi Sfumati di Micheluzzi Glass, disegnati da Elena e Margherita Micheluzzi, nascono da delicate sfumature di colore che acquistano profondità attraverso una f***a e intricata lavorazione manuale.
Soffiato e profondamente inciso a mano a Murano, ogni vaso cattura e riflette la luce, rivelando trasparenze, movimento e tonalità sempre mutevoli, in un continuo richiamo ai riflessi dell’acqua.
Ogni pezzo è unico e celebra la natura espressiva del vetro fatto a mano.

They seem to be in their natural element: the sea, the sand, the light.

Our Shells play with colour and transparency, like those shaped and washed ashore by the sea. And perhaps it’s no coincidence: glass, after all, begins with sand.

In Amethyst, Amber, Aquamarine and Ocean Blue, the Micheluzzi Glass Shells are back, after a long time.

Handmade, one at a time. Each one different, just as in nature.

Sembrano nel loro elemento naturale: il mare, la sabbia, la luce.

Le nostre Conchiglie giocano con colori e trasparenze, come quelle levigate e portate a riva dal mare. E forse non è un caso: anche il vetro, in fondo, nasce dalla sabbia.

Nei colori Ametista, Ambra, Acqua e Oceano, le Conchiglie Micheluzzi Glass sono tornate, dopo tanto tempo.

Realizzate a mano, una alla volta. Ognuna diversa, come in natura.
