For Pierpaolo Seguso, glass is a language for making the invisible visible.

His artworks transform emotions and inner experiences into visual metaphors: personal to the artist, universal in the feelings they evokes, and open to each viewer’s own interpretation.

As the world’s eyes turn once again to Venice, the entrance to the International Film Festival is illuminated by a familiar presence.

Since 2017, Seguso Vetri d’Arte’s installation of 300 hand-blown glass globes has welcomed filmmakers, actors and guests beneath the façade of the Palazzo del Cinema, becoming an integral part of the Festival’s identity.

Year after year, Murano craftsmanship continues to light one of cinema’s most celebrated stages.

From elegant banquets to aristocratic portraits and refined interiors, artists repeatedly depicted vases, mirrors, chandeliers and drinking vessels as symbols of prestige, beauty and craftsmanship. Seguso Vetri d’Arte Projects | The Arts Club, Dubai

The Arts Club Dubai, the first international outpost of the historic London private club, brings together art, culture and contemporary design in a unique setting. For this prestigious project, Seguso Vetri d’Arte created a series of custom lighting installations.

Built around the modular Poliesaedri element, each lantern and chandelier installation was conceived specifically for its architectural setting. The versatility of the modular system allows each composition to expand in all dimensions, creating site-specific lighting sculptures that integrate seamlessly with the surrounding interiors. Bespoke colour palettes, including warm brown and soft pink tones, further enhance the unique character of each space.

Rooted in tradition, yet driven by experimentation.
The meeting of two distinct techniques, Craquelé and Sommerso, gives life to a new Seguso Vetri d’Arte statement piece.

Its crackled surface, combined with different colored layers, captures and reflects ambient light; when illuminated from within, the vase transforms: not a lamp, yet no longer only a vase, it redefines the way light inhabits space, diffusing a soft, atmospheric glow.

Inspired by the iconic modular design language that defined Murano glass in the 1950s, the new Poliesaedri Collection reinterprets this heritage through a contemporary octagonal geometry.

Built around a single handcrafted glass module, the collection offers endless possibilities for creation. By repeating and scaling the same element, Poliesaedri can grow seamlessly in every direction, transforming each piece into fully customized architectural compositions.

Art Duets | Nado Canuti at Seguso Vetri d’Arte

Honoured to present a new chapter of Art Duets, an ongoing dialogue between artistic vision and Venetian glassmaking tradition.

Nado Canuti stands among the most important sculptors and artists of the Italian Novecento. An extraordinary artist with an equally extraordinary story, Canuti lost seven fingers during the war, yet transformed adversity into a powerful artistic language.

Together with Pierpaolo Seguso and the master glassmakers of Seguso Vetri d’Arte, some of Canuti’s iconic “Personaggi”, originally developed in the 1960s, are reinterpreted through the language of Murano glass.

More than a chandelier, Skyline is a three-dimensional narrative that explores space, reflection and light. It is part of the new Poliesaedri collection, a contemporary interpretation of modular design from the second half of the 20th century.

Here, the modular units extend in all directions, tracing a suspended skyline, a vision of Venice, dreamlike and timeless, mirrored in the waters of the lagoon.

Light becomes indirect, mediated. It no longer originates from within the glass, but from a LED source embedded in the surrounding metal structure. As it meets the irregular surfaces of the Poliesaedri elements, it dissolves into fluid reflections, as in Venetian canals, casting a soft, atmospheric glow.
