Axis Mason Good Deeds Day 2026

This year, our annual Good Deeds Day saw us spend time volunteering in our local communities, with each of our studios supporting a different cause.

In Jersey, we worked with Eco Active Jersey and the Natural Environment team to manage scrub and protect a sensitive habitat at Les Landes. In London, we spent the morning at Vauxhall City Farm to help with animal care, general farm maintenance and guest relations. In Durban, we supported LIV Durban by sorting and preparing donated clothing, while in Glasgow, we spent the morning repainting facilities at Shakespeare St Youth Club, an important part of the local community.

It was a fulfilling day of practical volunteering and supporting organisations doing valuable local work. We then swapped paintbrushes and gardening gloves for duckpin bowling and tech darts in London, the Museum of Illusions in Durban, escape rooms in Glasgow and a classic Jersey party bus.

Jersey Architecture Week 2026 | Runner Up

We’re pleased to have been named Runner Up in this year’s Jersey Architecture Week for Brewing Belonging: Ann Street Youth & Community Centre.

The project explores how memory, community and renewal can come together to create a meaningful sense of place, transforming a former brewery site into a new community asset for Jersey’s young people.

Chapel Row. A new chapter for the Esplanade.
 
A major milestone has been reached with planning permission secured on appeal for 19–21 Esplanade, Chapel Row West, with the transformation of neighbouring Chapel Row East already underway.
 
One building reimagined. One built anew. Together, approximately 70,000 sq ft of prime workspace in the heart of St Helier. The development brings together the refurbishment of 17.5–18 Esplanade with a new seven-storey building at 19–21 Esplanade.
 
As demand for high-quality office space continues to grow, Chapel Row is designed around the needs of modern businesses. Targeting BREEAM Excellent and Outstanding certification across the two buildings, sustainability and performance are central to the design.

We're pleased to have received planning approval for Midvale Road, St Helier. The proposal transforms the former St John Ambulance site into seven new homes, carefully shaped by the character of the surrounding historic streetscape while retaining key mature trees and reusing part of the existing building.

A considered approach to regeneration, heritage and sustainability.

This time last week, the Axis Mason London team came together for a summer team day. The plan was our usual afternoon picnic in the park, but with the weather doing its best to remind us that summer won’t last forever, a change of plans led us indoors for mini golf, drinks, and the sort of competitive spirit that always seems to appear when a scoreboard is involved.
 
A great afternoon spent together away from our desks and a chance to catch up outside the day-to-day.

Mill Place, reimagined.
 
From the restored façades to the floor-by-floor organisation of the workspace, these drawings reveal the layers of thinking behind the adaptive reuse of a former industrial building in St Peter Port. 
 
By celebrating the site’s heritage while introducing flexible, contemporary workspaces, the scheme demonstrates how existing buildings can be transformed for modern ways of working.

A sunny site visit to Maisons Les Arches this week. The latest homes, apartments and landscaped spaces are nearing completion, bringing life and identity to this new neighbourhood in St Helier.
 
A palette of stone, brickwork, coloured render and metal cladding, combined with retained historic fabric, helps anchor the development within its local context, creating a contemporary response that remains rooted in its setting.
