7月5日は「江戸切子の日」。
江戸切子を知って頂ける切っ掛けとなるよう、私たち作り手は組合で、7月5日を「江戸切子の日」と制定しています。
文様である「魚子（ななこ)」と、7月5日の7と5が、日本語で「なな」と「ご」で「ななこ」と読めることからの語呂合わせです。
July 5th is "Edo Kiriko Day."
To promote the appreciation of Edo Kiriko, the association we belong to has designated July 5th as the “Edo Kiriko Day” in Japan.
The date is a Japanese wordplay inspired by the traditional “Nanako” pattern, as the numbers 7 (“nana”) and 5 (“go”) combine to sound like “nanako.”
