「菊花紋六段重」

江戸時代に作られた三段重をもとに製作された、「菊花紋六段重」。
胴径20㎝、高さ40㎝の存在感あふれる逸品です。
色とりどりに咲く菊のカットと、透明とのコントラストが際立ちます。

日頃より仙巌園ブランドショップ入り口にて皆様をお迎えするこちらですが、
17日より広島福屋八丁堀本店にて開催の島津薩摩切子展「温故創新」にも登場いたします。
その荘厳な姿を是非、会場にてご覧ください。

“Six-Tiered Jubako with Chrysanthemum Design”

This piece, “Six-Tiered Jubako with Chrysanthemum Design,” was created based on a three-tiered jubako box made during the Edo period.
With a diameter of 20 cm and a height of 40 cm, it is an impressive work with a strong presence.
The colorful chrysanthemum cut designs beautifully stand out against the clear glass.

This piece usually welcomes visitors at the entrance of the Sengan-en Brand Shop.
From the 17th, it will also be on display at the Shimadzu Satsuma Kiriko Cutglass Exhibition “Onko Soshin” at Fukuya Hatchobori Main Store in Hiroshima.

【Artist Feature | Ohki Nakane】

Nakane’s Satsuma Kiriko captures the beauty of nature through the changing seasons, expressed with delicate bokashi gradation and graceful curves.

In this exhibition, approximately 50 pieces will be presented, including her signature series “Rinshū” and “Atsuhime,” as well as Nishikie(two-tone) works inspired by the natural beauty of Japan.

The refined beauty of carefully perfected bokashi gradation, together with elegant curves, creates an art of light and color.

We invite you to experience the profound world of Satsuma Kiriko at the venue—a craft that continues to evolve as Nakane constantly pursues new forms of expression.

上國料が手がけるのは、ジュエリーの美意識を映した、宝石のように煌めく薩摩切子。

前職でジュエリーのデザインから制作技法まで学んだ経験を、薩摩切子の表現へと昇華。細部へのこだわりと立体的な美意識を生かし、他にはない繊細なグラデーションとカットを刻み込みます。

With a meticulous eye for detail and a sculptural sense of beauty, he carves delicate gradations and cuts unlike any other.
