📸 【新入荷】赤膚焼 菅原尚己作 鹿の箸置き（ペア）
奈良の伝統工芸・赤膚焼の若手作家、菅原尚己さんによる鹿の箸置きが入荷しました✨
寝そべる姿の愛らしい鹿の箸置きは、茶色か白色のペアでご用意。背中のくぼみに箸を優しく受け止めます。
菅原さんは「いきもの作家」として知られ、土の温かみを生かしながら生き物たちを生き生きと表現することを得意としています。
赤膚焼には古くから生き物との深い繋がりがあり、江戸時代末期の名工・奥田木白の「鹿の香合」などにもその伝統が見られます。その伝統を受け継ぎながら、現代的な感性で制作された逸品です。
そして嬉しいお知らせです。菅原さんは先日、第54回日本伝統工芸近畿展に見事入選されました。伝統の技と現代的な感性を融合させた作品づくりが高く評価されています。
📸 【New Arrival】 Akahada Pottery Deer Chopstick Rests by Naoki Sugawara (Pair)
We are delighted to introduce these deer-shaped chopstick rests, crafted by Naoki Sugawara, a young artisan of Nara’s traditional Akahada pottery. ✨
These adorable deer, depicted in a reclining pose, are available in pairs of either brown or white. Their gently curved backs cradle your chopsticks with care.
Mr. Sugawara is renowned as a “wildlife artist,” excelling at bringing animals to life through his work, all while showcasing the warm, earthy tones of clay.
Akahada pottery has long been deeply connected to the natural world. This tradition is evident in pieces like the “Deer Incense Container” by the Edo-period master Mokuhaku Okuda. Carrying on this legacy, Mr. Sugawara has created these exquisite modern pieces with a contemporary touch.
And here’s some exciting news! Mr. Sugawara was recently selected for the 54th Kinki Region Traditional Crafts Exhibition. His work, which seamlessly blends traditional techniques with modern sensibilities, continues to receive high praise.
