西陣織の輝きは、単なる糸色によるものではない。
和紙に漆を塗り、金箔や銀箔を貼り、髪の毛ほどの細さに裁断して織り込む。
ひと手間ずつを丁寧に重ねた、貴重な伝統技法から生まれている。
朝の光、昼の陽射し、夕暮れの茜。
差し込む光が移ろうたび、その表情を静かに変えていく。
一日として同じ輝きはない。この深みは、機械にはつくれない。
人の手だけが生む、揺らぎある輝き。
その奥行きを、雛人形のひとつひとつに、時間をかけて宿していく。
急がず、惜しまず。この時間こそが、職人の醍醐味だ。

The glow of Nishijin brocade is not merely the color of its threads.
Washi paper is lacquered, layered with gold and silver leaf, cut as fine as a hair, and woven in.
It is born of a precious traditional craft, built up one careful step at a time.
The light of morning, the sun at midday, the crimson of dusk.
As the streaming light shifts, the brocade quietly changes its face.
No single day shines the same. Such depth can only come from handwork.
A fluctuating glow that only human hands can bring forth.
That depth, I let settle into each hina doll, taking all the time it needs.
Never hurrying, never sparing my hands—this is where the true joy of the craft lies.
