In the world of interior décor, measurements are your secret weapon! They save you time, money, and a whole lot of frustration. Before you click "Add to Cart" or tell your fundi "build it," grab your tape measure and check these three things:
The Furniture Fit: Measure the width, depth, and height of the item itself. Seems obvious, but double-checking is key!
The Room Fit: Does the item overpower the room? Use masking tape to mark out the furniture's size on your floor—it's a game-changer!
The Entry Fit (The Big One!): Will the couch, fridge, or wardrobe actually fit through your doorway, down the hallway, or up the stairwell? Measure the narrowest point of the path it needs to travel. (No one wants to dismantle a door frame, right? 😉)
