First of all, what we experienced last Sunday in our village of Lehfed was one of the first goals we set within our plant nursery:to contribute to the development of our village and showcase its beauty.
The rehabilitation of the northern section of this old trail, which our ancestors used more than fifty years ago (specifically the section through the forest) reflects our commitment to providing villagers and visitors with more opportunities to explore and discover our village, while emphasizing the importance of preserving its rural character and, above all, respecting the environment and God’s creation.
This work, carried out through modest and discreet family efforts over the past three years, away from politics, rivalry, and municipal divisions, confirms that development requires nothing more than good intentions and the dedication of the local community.
For all hikers, thank you for joining us in our village. You were among the first groups to have the opportunity to walk along this remarkable trail.
And to the Municipality of Lehfed, thank you for supporting this special day, for the presence and assistance of the municipal guards, and for the beautiful portrait of Blessed Brother Estephan Nehme that you gifted us in recognition of our efforts. May he watch over this trail and this village.
في البداية، إن ما عشناه اليوم في بلدتنا لحفد كان من أوائل الأهداف التي وضعناها في مؤسستنا لتطوير هذه القرية وإظهار جمالها، وكنا نتطلع إلى هذا اليوم منذ زمن. وتأهيل القسم الشمالي من هذا المسار القديم الذي سلكه أجدادنا منذ أكثر من خمسين عامًا (أي القسم الذي في الغابة) يعكس التزامنا بإضافة خيارات كثيرة لأهل القرية والسياح لاستكشافها مع التشديد على الحفاظ على الطابع القروي، والأهم احترام البيئة وصنع الخالق.
إن هذا العمل الذي تم بمساعٍ عائلية سرية متواضعة، بعيدة عن السياسة والمزايدات والاصطفافات البلدية على مدى ثلاث سنوات، يؤكد أن الإنماء لا يحتاج إلا إلى نوايا طيبة وسواعد المجتمع المحلي.
لجميع المشاة شكرًا لكم على حضوركم اليوم في قريتنا، فكنتم من أوائل الفرق التي يتسنى لها سلوك هذا المسار المميز.
