The first Paradise Road store opened in 1987, located at No. 36 Flower Road, known as ‘The Decorator’s Gift Shop’ later expanding to No. 213 Dharmapala Mawatha in 1993 – now the Flagship Store, located within a colonial mansion overlooking the monumental Colombo Town Hall. To date, the brand features an international standard, while retaining a truly Sri Lankan identity at its core. Paradise Road The Gallery Café housed in the former offices of world-renowned Sri Lankan architect, the late Geoffrey Bawa, offering a blend of local and international cuisine. Paradise Road Galleries features monthly rotating exhibitions by established and emerging local artists. Paradise Road Tintagel Colombo is a 10-suite boutique hotel located in the heart of Colombo’s most exclusive neighborhood. The property is renowned for its privacy, space and service. Our latest window display at the Flagship Store, 138 Galle Road, Colombo 3, presents a striking composition of original Dutch-period Ming Dynasty jars in varying sizes.

Originating from the Orient, these martaban jars were traditionally used to transport dry goods, preserved foods, and liquids.

The display is complemented by a work from artist Wasantha Namaskara, whose latest exhibition, Dharshana / දර්ශන, is currently on view at Paradise Road Galleries, No. 2, Alfred House Road, Colombo 3.
