අවුරුදු 4කට කලින් lecturer කෙනෙක් වෙලා ඉදපු මම හිතපුවත් නැති විදිහට business එකක් කරන්න පටන් ගත්තා. මුල් කාලෙ කරන්නෙ මොනාද - කරන්නෙ කොහොමද දන් නැතුව අලුත් අලුත් දේවල් කලා. පිටරටවල දැකපු සමහර පොත් වගේම මේ ලෝකෙ නැති ඒවා හැදුවා. ඒ කාලේ දැන් වගේ පොත් කරපු අය ගොඩක් හිටියෙ නෑ. ඒ කාලෙ පොත් කරපු සමහර අය දැන් කරන්නෙත් නෑ. දවසෙන් දවස මාව දන්න අය මගේ මේ පොත් බිස්නස් එකත් එක්ක වැඩි උනා.

අවුරුදු ගානක් පොත් එක්කයි ළමයි එක්කයි ඔට්ටු උන මට තව අලුත් business එකක් පටන්ගන්න හිතුණා.
මං පොඩි කාලේ ඉඳන් අලුත් දේවල් ඉගෙනගන්න වගේම මගේ skills වැඩි කරගන්න කැමති කෙනෙක්. මොනාද කරන්නෙ කියලා හිත හිත ඉන්නකොට තමයි මම gems ගැන fb එකේ දකින්නෙ.
ඒ වෙනකොට මම මැණික් ගැන කිසිම දෙයක් දන්නේ නෑ. අඩුම තරමේ මම මැණික් ගල් අල්ලපු මුද්දක්වත් දැම්මෙ නෑ. තිබ්බ ඒවත් අයින් කරලා gold වලින් විතරක්ම හැදෙව්වා ටික කාලෙකට කලින්.

මම මේ course එක පටන් ගන්නකොට දන්නේ නිල් පාට මැණික් sapphire, රතු පාට ඒවා ruby, කොළපාට මැණික් emerald කියලා. ඒකත් මම දන්නේ අපේ school එකේ houses තිබ්බේ ඔන්න ඔය තුනෙන් හින්දා.

හැබැයි දැන් මම expert කෙනෙක් නොවුනත් මැණිකක් සාමාන්‍යයෙන් අදුරගන්න දන්නවා. ඒක වටින එකක්ද නැද්ද කියන්න දන්නවා.
මැණික් කපන්න දන්නවා.

මේ කතාව චුට්ටක්වත් ලේසි නෑ. මේ කතාවෙ මම දවසක දින්නොත් 95% credit එක යන්න ඕනි Ayesh ට. හැම lecture එක්කටම මාව එක්කන් ගිහින් උදේ ඉදන් ඉවර වෙනකල් එළියට වෙලා ඉන්නවා. මම A/C එකේ ඉගෙනගන්නකොට එයා එළියේ තද රස්නේ පුටුවක් තියාගෙන ඉදගෙන ඉන්නවා. මේ කතාව මාත් එක්ක course එක කරන ඕනි කෙනෙක්ගෙන් ඇහුවොත් කියයි. මම ඉගෙනගත්තට එයාටත් දැන් gem cutting හොඳට පුලුවන්. මැණිකක් අදුරගන්න පුලුවන්.

ඉතින් අපි දෙන්නා එකතු වෙලා පොත් හැදුවා වගේ දැන් මැණික් පොළවල් වල, exhibition වල, පතල්වල හැමතැනම ඇවිදිනවා...
