It’s not very often that you walk into a gallery and see that most of the artworks are already sold. That’s exactly what happened in Paris at Galerie Daniel Maghen, where works by Victor Hubinon and Bernard Vrancken were on display.

Today, Victor Hubinon is considered a key figure in classic European adventure comics. He helped define the realistic adventure style of Franco-Belgian comics, especially through his aviation and historical adventure stories.

Bernard Vrancken, a Belgian comic artist, is best known for illustrating the financial-thriller comic series I.R.$., created by writer Stephen Desberg.

I finally got the chance to see the Mona Lisa in person. It’s fascinating how her smile seems to appear and disappear depending on how you look at it—and it really feels like she’s looking at you from any angle. The “Mona Lisa effect” seems real 🙃

Now I understand why Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece makes so many people queue for hours at the Louvre.

Textile art as a hotel reference isn’t something you see every day — but here, you can truly feel the blend between the historic textile factory Krokslätts Fabriker and a modern hotel experience.

From local textile artworks in the interior to unique details like a classic weaver’s loom displayed in the restaurant/bar as a homage to the area’s heritage — every element tells a story.

Even the small touches — materials, textiles, and decorative choices — are thoughtfully connected to the industrial textile history of Krokslätts Fabriker. ✨

Yves Klein — I’ve heard so much about him, and now I finally have the chance to see one of his artworks. He’s the artist who invented International Klein Blue (IKB), that iconic ultramarine blue he developed and patented in 1960. He used this vivid, matte blue throughout his work and turned it into his artistic signature. And now I get to see it with my own eyes!

Is it possible to find a connection between a car brand and art?
This week I had the chance to see clear proof of how beautifully the synergy between art and the automotive world can unfold. 🚗🎨

At the BMW showroom in Vilnius, an exhibition and photo album “Shredded Eternity” by writer and National Culture and Art Prize laureate Sigitas Parulskis was presented — a powerful blend of creativity and innovation. A great collaboration between AP Gallery and BMW Vilnius.

🎨 Project “HotArt™” No.6 Have you ever stayed somewhere that truly feels like walking in a design museum?
At the Avalon Hotel in Gothenburg, art isn’t simply on the walls — it’s woven into the entire experience.

Much like a visit to a design museum, you move through a sequence of international designers, each piece holding its own dialogue with the space. The difference is that here, you’re allowed to touch the art — to sit in the armchairs, feel the textures, and sense the intent behind each material choice.

You’ll recognize classics like Arne Jacobsen’s Swan and Egg chairs, Verner Panton’s sculptural forms, and other icons of modern design, positioned not as museum relics but as part of daily life.

It’s a rare feeling — when hospitality and art merge so seamlessly that the boundary between guest and gallery visitor disappears.

There’s a charming little gallery I visit every time I’m in Gothenburg — filled with inspiring works by Mr. Brainwash, SNEK Popcycle Art, Patrick Rubenstein, Gosia Kosiec, Hijack, Camilla Lunden, and others. It never fails to make my day.

Ever wondered if you could see a piece of art in a hotel lobby by an artist featured in the Modern Museum of Stockholm or the Miami Art Museum?
Well, you can!
Experience the provocative and meticulously staged photo-based compositions by Nathalia Edenmont, a Swedish-Ukrainian artist, at Hotel Elite in Gothenburg. Her work explores themes like birth, death, womanhood, beauty, and decay.
Thanks to a strong collaboration with Wetterling Gallery, Edenmont's art blurs the line between photography and painting, using natural materials—such as butterfly wings, flowers, and even animal parts—to create lavish, surreal portraits.

🎨 Project “HotArt™” No.4

It’s not every day you get a glimpse into a private art collection. While in Reykjavík 🇮🇸, I had the chance to see part of Skúli Gunnlaugsson’s remarkable collection right at a hotel reception.

Skúli is a well-known passionate collector of Icelandic art. Since 2008, back when he was still in the US, he began gathering works by Icelandic artists — and today his collection has grown to nearly 700 paintings.

Many of these works aren’t hidden away but shared with the public — on display at the Kringlan shopping center, the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica lobby, Vox restaurant, and across various offices in the city.

A wonderful example of art meeting hospitality, through the vision of a dedicated collector and the collaboration with Hilton.
