Exploring a capital city often means discovering that many art galleries are closed on Mondays when you finally have time to visit. Not this time in Budapest! 😉

I had the chance to admire the remarkable works of Judit Reigl at KĂĄlmĂĄn MaklĂĄry Fine Arts. A Hungarian-born French painter, Reigl is considered one of the most influential European abstract artists of the post-war era. Today, her works are part of renowned museum collections, including the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

If you’re visiting Budapest and appreciate contemporary art, this gallery is well worth adding to your itinerary.

Art has the power to transform spaces, inspire conversations, and bring people together.

A wonderful example is the initiative by Hotel Clark Budapest and the ground-floor Leo Bistro, whose ART CORNER program integrates contemporary visual art into the living fabric of the city, creating new meeting points between art and the public.

Currently on view is Horváth Lóczi Judit’s exhibition, presented in the iconic spaces of Hotel Clark Budapest and Leo Bistro at the foot of the Chain Bridge. Titled “Art is Therapy,” the exhibition highlights the personal and healing power of art, inviting visitors to reflect on creativity as a path to self-discovery and emotional expression.

The exhibition is realized through the collaboration of The Space Art Gallery and artNESZ Fine Art Agency.

Art belongs where people live, meet, and connect—and this project is a beautiful example of that vision in action.

It’s not very often that you walk into a gallery and see that most of the artworks are already sold. That’s exactly what happened in Paris at Galerie Daniel Maghen, where works by Victor Hubinon and Bernard Vrancken were on display.

Today, Victor Hubinon is considered a key figure in classic European adventure comics. He helped define the realistic adventure style of Franco-Belgian comics, especially through his aviation and historical adventure stories.

Bernard Vrancken, a Belgian comic artist, is best known for illustrating the financial-thriller comic series I.R.$., created by writer Stephen Desberg.

I finally got the chance to see the Mona Lisa in person. It’s fascinating how her smile seems to appear and disappear depending on how you look at it—and it really feels like she’s looking at you from any angle. The “Mona Lisa effect” seems real 🙃

Textile art as a hotel reference isn’t something you see every day — but here, you can truly feel the blend between the historic textile factory Krokslätts Fabriker and a modern hotel experience.

From local textile artworks in the interior to unique details like a classic weaver’s loom displayed in the restaurant/bar as a homage to the area’s heritage — every element tells a story.

Even the small touches — materials, textiles, and decorative choices — are thoughtfully connected to the industrial textile history of Krokslätts Fabriker. ✨
