My story
I am a Lithuanian-American artist, currently residing & creating in Vilnius, Lithuania. As long as I can remember myself, I was drawing. This was manifested on my bedroom walls when I was about 3 years old and has been continuing on through Kaunas Magnet School of Visual Arts and college (University of Georgia) where I got my bachelors degree in Studio Art. I am a firm believer that talent without practice is just a potential. This is why development and learning are key to my artist journey: from my fb page, you will see that I love trying new mediums, styles, techniques. The endless possibilities keep me excited and energized! As someone who has been living in between two countries for most of my life, I find this often subconsciously or consciously reflecting in my work. You will find map motifs and other symbols that show my interconnection between the two lands and cultures. This is partly why I chose a hummingbird to be my logo, its not a native bird to where I was born and this is very representative of how I feel - a little different and out of place no matter where I go.
Another great influence on everything I do, including my art, is my faith. I believe in a Christian God who is the ultimate artist of everything. His craftsmanship is just amazing and truly inspirational. Not a long time ago I had started making Lithuanian Christian greeting cards when I had noticed that there were close to none cards as such in Lithuania. I absolutely love hearing stories of how those cards brightened someone’s day and this is what keeps me going: the purpose to bring value and love to someone.
