From enclosed garage to luxury boutique.
Juman Boutique, located in the heart of Misrata, Libya, was envisioned as an intimate destination where clients could browse a curated collection of Italian luxury pieces by appointment and enjoy a personalized shopping experience.
The challenge was to transform a small, enclosed space into a bright, elegant boutique that felt welcoming, refined, and timeless. Drawing inspiration from the boutique’s name, “Juman” (جمان), which refers to pearls in Arabic, subtle pearl-inspired details were woven throughout the design to create a sense of softness, beauty, and understated luxury.
The client also wanted the space to reflect her love for classic interiors, Victorian influences, and the charm of traditional boutiques. These elements were carefully balanced with a lighter, contemporary aesthetic to maximize the feeling of space and light.
While certain existing features, including parts of the flooring and lighting, remained unchanged, the transformation successfully elevated the space into a boutique experience that reflects the brand’s identity and vision.
Most importantly, the client was delighted with the final result, a space that now serves as a beautiful home for Juman’s collection and welcomes customers from across Libya.
