Absolutely... and if you're brave enough, I'd say go for it! 😉
Here's what staging a property actually looks like...
✔️ Source furniture from multiple suppliers.
✔️ Try to get everything delivered on the same day (spoiler... it won't happen).
✔️ Wait in for countless deliveries over several weeks.
✔️ Wonder where you're going to store it all. Hallway? Garage? Spare room?
✔️ Make at least 50 trips back to the shops because you've forgotten something.
✔️ Hope everything you've ordered actually works together.
✔️ Find all the tools you need.
✔️ Build every piece of furniture.
✔️ Carry everything up and down several flights of stairs... repeatedly.
✔️ Steam or iron all the bedding.
✔️ Hang mirrors and artwork.
✔️ Style every shelf, table and corner.
✔️ Move everything around because it doesn't quite look right the first time.
✔️ Take the marketing photos.
✔️ Clear away mountains of cardboard and packaging.
And if it's a show home or a property that's going on the market...
..take it all apart again and work out where on earth you're going to store it!
Meanwhile, we'll have arrived the day the builders finish, installed everything, styled it, photographed it and handed you back a property within a couple of days maximum that's ready to rent or sell.
The biggest cost isn't paying an interior designer.
It's losing 6–8 + weeks of rent while you're trying to squeeze it all in around your day job.
People often compare our fee to the cost of doing it themselves.
The real comparison is the value of getting your property earning money weeks earlier, without the stress, the endless trips to the shops, or wondering whether it's all going to come together.
Sometimes, doing it yourself is actually the most expensive option.
