Architect 📐🏗️ (Expectation vs. Reality)
(The Expectation) 🤔

(The Reality) 🛠️
(Space Planner) 📐
(Technical Translator) 📏
(The Coordinator) 🤝
(Budget Balancer) ⚖️
(Site Problem Solver) 👷‍♂️

St. Anna Technical School Architecture
for the Burmese Migrants in Thailand.

🔧 Adaptive Reuse — new steel structure on existing columns
💡 Scrap to Art — factory waste → student crafts → market sales → school funds
🏗️ Metal & wood workshops, 8 classrooms, flexible hall, garden courtyards
🌬️ Passive ventilation, polycarbonate daylighting, semi-outdoor zones
🪵 Steel, scaffolding frames, reclaimed wood, polycarbonate, OSB
📐 Refrence - Ban Hun Lek, Lacaton & Vassal, Aarhus School of Architecture

St. Anna Technical School adaptively reuses an existing warehouse in Samut Sakhon into an industrial-style vocational school for Burmese migrant children, where scrap metal and wood from surrounding factories are transformed into art through dedicated workshops — sold at a flexible market hall to sustain free education — creating a self-funding cycle of recycling, craftsmanship and community empowerment within a passively ventilated, scaffolding-framed architecture that teaches by making itself visible.

Shelter for Little Futures⛪🏫

This design rejects static architecture, proposing an Adaptive Modular System defined by flexibility ⚙️.

The structure transforms instantly based on function. It shifts seamlessly from a Pop Art Market Stall for retail to a Public Seating area for social interaction.

A dynamic spatial solution where the architecture adapts to the activity, not the other way around.🔩

KMUTT SOA+D, Master of Science in Architecture.
A steel-structure technical school focused on adaptive reuse and industrial aesthetics for the Myanmar Migrant School in Thailand.
Exibition Location at KX

Project Specs:

Typology: Adaptive Reuse / Educational Facility

Location: Samut Sakhon, Thailand

Concept: "Scrap to Art" (Recycling & Reuse)

The design utilizes a steel structure with wood plank cladding to create a monumental yet accessible atmosphere. To combat the tropical heat, I incorporated concrete plate louvers for ventilation and polycarbonate sheets to diffuse natural light throughout the workshops..📟

The layout features a central "Green Courtyard" to connect the human-scaled single-story areas with the main two-story workshop, bridging the gap between heavy machinery and comfortable learning spaces.
